Cuddlecomfort dying?

I signed up a year ago but rarely see a new face and it’s the same tiny handful of people for the past year. Some marketing and new users are essential as the site will just fadeaway and die. I rarely come on here because there is simply no one to talk to, are there any other ways to meet likeminded people who just want the relaxation of a cuddle?

  • It’s super popular in America. Especially among people that travel city to city for work.

  • @CuddlyKind7 I can see where people’s experiences here on CC would have them saying the site is dying.
But I always like to caution peeps that there are many different narratives and experiences here on CC. For many various reasons some are having lots of success meeting and cuddling. While others , not so much.
Frustrating? Sure. I get that ! I do think that the effort one puts in usually matches the results back. Maybe not right away at times . I feel the opposite, in that the site isn’t dying but growing exponentially . Pretty happy about that 😊

Enthusiasts join, then get overwhelmed quickly with bad behavior then jump off quickly, the pro vetting standards are insufficient, so called professionals are getting less professional, less accountable, less responsive and less reliable, and just WAAAYYY flakier with the primary complaint over here having terrible communication skills!!! Is that a generalization? Yes. But it’s still true and rampant.

But because of the karma rules, when pros handle things terribly and you reach out to a mod to complain about it, although their support is great their hands are tied because technically the things that have transpired that I have shared - with proof - are not “technically” eligible to be written as bad karma or bannable. Very frustrating.

In the end, this results in their bad behavior not being made public for others to scrutinize in the form of a LEGITIMATE bad karma review… and if written, then I will be at risk for a bad and UNTRUE retaliatory review, and I don’t want the drama and the risk of compromising my almost 30 great 5 star reviews over someone posting something about me that is not justified. Too much drama.

And even if the mods see that it’s retaliatory depending on the situation they may not be able to remove it. Bottom line is at the end of the day they get away with it and bring down the site, and my night.

This has happened to me COUNTLESS times so my opinion of the whole karma culture has sadly been severely diminished.

And don’t even get me started on the message boards. Oh wait a minute, I’m on them!….

  • @WestsideMarc I’m sorry to read that .
It’s so interesting how we can all be on the same site and have all these different experiences.
I’m meeting more enthusiasts than before , professional cuddlers are even more professional and involved in becoming even more professional, and pricing seems pretty fair and consistent.
I feel we are getting more and more awesome memberships! 👍

  • To add to what @OhioMike said:

Only a very small percentage of site users use these forums, so it is not an accurate metric to use for determining the success of the site overall.

If it feels like there's not many active users in your area, there's a few options you might try:

    • expanding your search criteria, removing filters, increasing distance, etc.
    • try searching in nearby metropolitan areas, as they tend to have more active users in general
    • self-advocate! Help spread the word around your community. Social media posts, flyers, word of mouth - all can help potential cuddlers find their way to the site.
    • network: search for local cuddle groups or start your own! One of the best ways to feel more connected to the community is to attend a gathering of people with the same niche interest. Even if you don't find a cuddle partner among the attendees, you increase your chances just by networking. Besides, supportive friendship and genuine connections helps with a lot of the symptoms for which people initially seek out platonic cuddling in the first place.

Good on you @OhioMike .Things must be different there in Ohio. I live in Los Angeles. I’ve been on and off the platform for about 8 years so I have a pretty long track record.

  • Location is definitely a key factor! Speaking from a professional standpoint there are a lot of people that message on a daily basis that are not interested in actually booking a session. So I can see why some pros would not entertain certain users. When it comes to whether or not the site is dying, I don’t believe it is as I am fairly new and have had a good number of sessions.

  • There are very few CC members in my city so most of my cuddles have been out of town. I have also been able to connect with people who come into town for work. By navigating the search outside of my area in bigger metropolitan areas I have been able to have success. I wish you happy cuddles 🤗

I'm curious what changes there have been in the pro vetting process. What did they use to do that they're not doing now? I still hear about people applying to be pros and getting turned down.

  • The areas I cuddle, Phoenix, Dallas etc constantly have new cuddlers. Far from dying. Maybe it's just not very active where you are at.

My experience with the protection of clients on this site has not been the greatest. I had messaged a pro who became very conversational and talked as if she was interested in at least simulating a dating experience and love bombed me. We would talk on the phone for 4 hours a night. I was bamboozled into thinking she enjoyed talking to me and wanted to spend time with me.

Then I found out she was an Sworker. Found her escort site outside of CC. I reported her and she was banned at first then got unbanned, the mods saying they are giving her a 2nd chance as long as she removes her site of offerrings. Then I got a timeout instead with some alleged things she must have said about me.

Regardless of all that drama, she continues to roam on CC preying on people.

@Huggycatbear Had you paid her any money?

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@Huggycatbear Obviously, I don't know what you went through, but if you had a pro talking about simulating a date experience and love bombing you, those were pretty big red flags. As you know, it's a purely platonic site, not a dating site. She must have been anticipating a big payoff if she was investing that much time in build-up.

I wonder what caused the user to get banned.

I think the internet provides too much instant gratification, and CC isn't like that.

  • I wonder what caused the user to get banned.

    @jps76

  • @Huggycatbear if she didn’t try to solicit you, you were in the wrong to report her on this site. She gave you multiple free virtual sessions (that’s what it’s called when you speak on the phone for hours), and she was catering to your need for a relationship feel. The cuddler did her job. It sounds like you got attached and jealous that she does other work with other clients. The exact type of client I would decline personally.

  • Also @Huggycatbear this site is for P-L-A-T-O-N-I-C cuddling. I suggest looking up the definition, and reviewing the terms and conditions before trying to “simulate” another relationship with someone. YTA for sure.

  • @Huggycatbear I was under the impression that sex workers are not allowed on CC, but I just reviewed the site Terms and Conditions, and it doesn't mention or even allude to it. Still, you were right to report her and let the mods deal with it. I'm surprised they let her back on here, as even the impression of her having connections to sexual sites elsewhere gives CC a bad reputation. I'm even more surprised you got a timeout as a result of reporting her. Seems like you got a raw deal.

@BlueIris We've only heard one side of this story.

Moderator here : One moderator may have seen one report and another moderator may have seen the report against the gentleman. Reports come in separately they’re not linked to one incident. We see 100 reports a day and that’s a low estimate. Sometimes our small team is drowning in it and we’re all volunteers. Speculation isn’t productive. We do our best. We have no interest in anyone getting banned or punished over another person. I’m sorry you feel treated unfairly. We are not superhumans.

Sex workers are not allowed on CC. You are not allowed to have a profile elsewhere on a sex website if you’re a professional.. we do give second chances to people who can prove they’ve removed all of their profiles. But that is on occasion and with evidence.

Changed my mind about closing it. Speculate away…

  • @stormydaycuddle 🤗🫂🤗🫂🤗

  • It’s thriving. So many to cuddle such little time

  • Well I know that’s not the record for an OP getting banned. But it was pretty quick.

  • What others said. It does seem to ebb & flow given locations and whatnot. Good communication is super important, especially if they log on often.

    @Mari_M

this site is for P-L-A-T-O-N-I-C cuddling. I suggest looking up the definition

    @Mari_M

you were in the wrong to report her

    🤔

@Huggycatbear 4 hour conversations? That doesn't happen unless both sides enjoy it.
Also. If you got to that point without booking a session then both of you are in violation of TOS.

Just as people are all different I suppose locations and travel may have an effect on peoples success with CC.

Nevertheless I find it somewhat fascinating all the different cuddle journeys 🤗

Oh and @stormydaycuddle thanks for the peek behind the curtain! 👍

I think the OP maybe got banned from a "threatening" comment on another thread that is moved now 🤔

  • In NYC, have been on the site since June this year. Haven’t been able to make a single connection as I’ve not engaged with pros. Thought there’d be more opportunity. I’m kind, send messages, but no dice.

  • @shakakron If you only cuddle women, connecting with enthusiasts can take a while as many women get bombarded by the number of messages and cuddle requests they recieve. Some start looking at people's profiles to narrow down who to respond to. There have been a few posts related to that.

This is where adding a bit more fluff to your description part of your profile could help. Maybe describe what you are looking for, boundaries, and other things to help people get a preview of what it would be like to cuddle you.

    Good luck!

  • I haven't noticed the site dying. I'm constantly seeing new profiles pop up here and there within a 100+ mile radius and even locally.
