Anxiety

Has anyone had an overwhelming feeling to be cuddled? I am not addicted to anything but sweets, but I'm wondering if this is what addicts feel when they need a hit.
I've tried reaching out to professionals in my area but I'm not getting much of a response. When they do respond, they say the charge for travel will be almost half of what a one-hour cuddle session costs.
Anybody else feel this way? Is this normal?

  • Yes I have absolutely felt touch starved before. I’m really sorry you are going through this. I didn’t understand the second part of your post. You said almost half. Are you meaning they are only charging half the rate?

  • Professionals telling you they'll charge you half the rate of a cuddle session makes no sense. If you mean you've contacted enthusiasts and they told you that, then you should report them. Only professional cuddlers are allowed to charge for cuddling.

  • I edited for clarification. The travel costs were half of what a session would cost.

@CuddlesWithJon Welcome to CC and the beginning of your cuddle journey!

The first part of you post is challenging to address with the addiction subject seeing that addictions are such a complex and subjective situation. idk if we can be addicted to cuddling or not? I suppose there are experts out there who could identify whether we can be or can't be.

yeah, the 2nd part of your post I can relate to though. Had to look up your city and you are like 30-45 minutes south of Dallas. So thats like a 60 -90 minutes round trip. I am similar to that here in Ohio and a lot of peeps say I am too far out. Which is fine. I know Dallas has lots and lots of pros, so I am assuming they probably don't need to travel far around Dallas to see people. So, I can see them charging more for that kind of travel /distance. Again, I am in same boat.

This next part is repetitive as heck but here goes... the Pros could possibly be doing it this way as you are new, have no pics, friends or karma yet, and your bio is pretty basic, and you mentioned often how busy you are. I imagine a Pro would be choosing other clients over you if they have other opportunities. Just a thought.
    👍😊
    Wishing you well here!

  • I cannot speak on the addict issue, but I can speak on the pros charging a travel fee. I charge one as well (.70 cents per mile, standard IRS mileage reimbursement rate) paid in advance which is for all cuddles that are over an hour round trip. It may very well wind up being half the hourly cuddle rate if they have to travel a far distance. For example, a suburb outside Chicago is Naperville. It is over 80 miles/2 hours roundtrip. I'd charge a $50 travel fee which is about half my hourly rate. I don't think people take into account what traveling entails as far as gas, vehicle wear and tear, and your time. Why don't you choose someone that hosts and you travel to them?

I agree with @whoismaryams. Still new-ish to cuddling, and have been cuddling with pros to get a good start. For both of the pro cuddlers I met in person so far, I drove to them, so there was no travel charge for me. If/when I host pro cuddlers, I'll shop travel rates and I'll choose carefully whom I host based on total cost. I think that's a win/win I can share, and hoping it will help others. Happy Cuddling!

  • @CuddlesWithJon if you have an addictive personality this could break either good or bad. You could become addicted to cuddling and go broke or cuddling ameliorates your addiction to sweets. This part of cuddling is something only you would know as you know yourself better than anyone I would hope.

But yes, cuddling is awesome until you meet your first BO cuddle body. Then you will appreciate the true beauty of bathing.
