Best way to introduce self

When messaging other enthusiasts, I'm already knowing that im not guaranteed a response. I would be curious from other enthusiasts about if it would be better to start with a joke, or a comment about that other person's profile. Im sure straight up asking to cuddle can be a weird first communication between strangers. Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated. Ty all.

  • Even though I’m a pro, I’d like to weigh in with a few tidbits of advice.

I would begin communication with evidence that you have read their profile. Provide a photo or name or anything they have asked for to start. Then a sentence about:

    A point of commonality
A compliment about the effort /content of their profile
A question or questions that you would like to know the answers to-whether it’s a silly poll (favorite root vegetable?) or if they prefer wool or alpaca socks(non-silly and vitally important poll)

Fill in your own profile with things that are unique or interesting about you, so they may read it and get a feel for if you are safe and begin finding other points of commonality.

Right now your profile is somewhat generic or new, and you want to convey what is uniquely “you!”

  • @VitaminJ thank you for sharing your insights. Your correct, I do need to share more about me on my profile. I will make some updates

  • I suggest starting off with your name, a short introduction about yourself, the reason you are reaching out to said enthusiast (liked something in their profile) & ask them a question about themselves.

Once the conversation gets going I ask about different topics & share something about me on each of those. For example, what you do for work &/or fun. Find out & share a few interests like music, movies, or hobbies. Then I get into all the cuddle topics: boundaries, favorite positions, amount of time, & sensitivities. Finally we set up a time & date. I personally prefer communicating about a month before meeting up. To include a phone call or voice message.

Best wishes & happy cuddles 🤗

  • Unfortunately I lead my introductions with my id before I let the superego out to roam.

  • Its halloween still somewhere

@UREverything yes! Seems like it’s still Halloween “somewhere” … a few green witches 🧙 and silly clowns 🤡 still flying/roaming around … so adorable! 😁

  • I'll echo about having read the profile.
I have it on there that I don't do mornings, and my availability says late nights.. but it never fails that people will ask me about mornings and earlier daytimes anyways.
Sorry. I work full time, and those aren't always banker hours. I don't have the 9-5 thing going on.

however, what i would say is this. If you just go straight to; when can we meet? Idk.. i've been either fatigued or busy recently. and also vetting people better.

however, if maybe having conversation about something... anything... that allows me to sort of filter the energy to better gauge if i want to isn't bad.

  • Thank you @MTex and @graceangel . Every bit of perspective helps me greatly to improve my introductions to meet other enthusiasts.

I think you've already gotten some good feedback here, and taken it to heart as well. So this feedback is less for you, and more for others who might come across this thread.

For both Pros and Enthusiasts, it's important to remember you are messaging with another person on the end of this. Different individuals have different expectations from this site. Both pros and enthusiasts can have unique rules and guidelines for how to get to know them.

Read profiles, they are important (but you already know that 😉). Start off by showing that you read their profile, why are you messaging that person in particular. I get so many messages from people who clearly have not read my profile, are just going through the search list of cuddlers and writing generic messages, sometimes just "hi". 🙄

When I've suggested people go back and read the profile, they will double down and insist they either don't need to or they have (which they clearly have not).

And others have said it, but have your profile filled out as fully as you can as well. I'm not asking you to put out your personal identifying information or a picture of your license, but put up why you're here, what your interests are. If you message me with a good starter message, and I click on your profiel, and it's empty, that feels really off putting, and I'm not coming back. 🤷‍♀️

And try to avoid what I call "conversation nonstarters" where you have a message and it doesn't really have anything for me to reply to. It's like improv, throw me a softball I can hit so we can keep this conversation going, I'll try to do the same back to you. Because I really want to, but if I have to reinvent it every time it's my turn, that gets exhausting.

    Hope that helps. Happy cuddling!
