Can't get notifications 😭 please help!!!

Hi everyone, SOS please!! I can't for the life of me get the site notifications to work for me - I once turned them off years ago and no matter how many times I toggle the settings again within the website and for the browser, I can't! get! notifs!!

Which is obviously incredibly inconvenient and leads to me missing tons of time sensitive messages. Has anyone dealt with this and figured out a solution??

    Did you try cleaning your browser cache. Logging out and logging back in?

    I ended up turning on email notifications so I get emails when people message me.

    I don’t think there are notifications other than email unfortunately. I wish there was.

    If you use the web app push notifications on both android and iOS phones they can be enabled. There are posts in the sticky threads on how to use.

    i've heard of that but i've never figured out how to get it to work on ios. I thought it just wasn't possible. I have it saved to my home screen as a web app but no ability to get notifications.

    Hello @mauvefox , no worries. I had a minute so here’s what I have. Hope it helps.

    And a few snips below. Basically, go to settings, click push notifications, enable, then test. The beta app is buggy so sometimes it won’t enable first time. Just try again later and it’ll work. Eventually. 😇

    In iOS the notifications will pop up and be found easily in the notifications center.

    @lovingspoonfull i think i see the problem. i don't have any of those buttons in my web app. there is a notifications section but it just takes me to email notification preferences. no push notification button to be seen anywhere i'm afraid I have no idea why it's different on mine.

    @mauvefox hmm. Might be an iOS version issue? Or delete the web app and re-add?
