Cuddlecomfort dying?

My understanding is it’s a pretty universal experience that men seeking female enthusiasts is a long game.
But if you keep at it, there are some great connections to be made.

That said, while karma doesn’t mean everything and someone with five stars can still not be a great person, having karma does show that you’re a real person and someone lived to tell the tale.

So it might be worth making some connections with some pros so you can start your own karma trail.

Then enthusiasts can see that you’re a real person and someone lived to tell the tale. 🤷‍♀️

Also, I’d suggest putting way more information into your profile. If you're leaving messages for women and if they are clicking on your profile, they’re clicking it to find not much information. Maybe you’re writing a very thorough introductory message to them that gives all that information. in that case, it might not matter. But I know when someone messages me, if I check their profile and there’s not much there, it makes it less likely I will reply.

Females (enthusiasts and pros alike) are outnumbered by men by a lot on here. So inboxes can be overwhelmed with messages. And sometimes they’re not great. Or just straight up awful. So doing what you can to make sure your messages and your profile are thorough and connected to the person that your messaging goes a long way.

@shakakron Great advice by Mauvefox. Frankly, while I completely understand the desire not to use pros, if you are going to focus only on enthusiasts, you're likely going to have a long wait. The whole reason there are pros here is that there simply aren't enough female enthusiasts to meet the demand.

  • Wow. There was a lot of previous chatter and dissatisfaction from OP and maybe it compounded into a ban with the “She’s my next victim” statement.

I appreciate that everyone has a different experience on here. Also knowing full well that a woman who is an enthusiast is seen to be a very rare thing.

I have met at least 50 new people in the last year. Certainly they have not all been a perfect fit, but that feels like a good thing to meet other human beings and CC has been a useful tool for facilitating some of those connections.

We all are here for different reasons and I can only speak to my personal experience.

It’s been mentioned you’re a few times that not a large percentage of users post in the forums… maybe they are all out there too busy making new cuddle friends and don’t post here. It’s tough to say what is or isn’t the magic pixie dust needed but I love what @cuddlefaery said about connections…

network: search for local cuddle groups or start your own! One of the best ways to feel more connected to the community is to attend a gathering of people with the same niche interest. Even if you don't find a cuddle partner among the attendees, you increase your chances just by networking. Besides, supportive friendship and genuine connections helps with a lot of the symptoms for which people initially seek out platonic cuddling in the first place.

Of course… I am all about Meet & Greets where people can MEET but there’s no pressure to cuddle. Lots of other users who’ve not been able to find people in their immediate area have wound up feeling very positive about meeting other cuddly folks at a public Meet & Greet. And they are FREE!!!

  • To me if someone truly wants platonic connection and cuddling, it shouldn't be that hard. The last two people that message me just sent a booking even though I specifically write in my profile how to book a session. So they're not really looking at my profile they're just sending a booking and even though I'm getting paid I'm not interested without a (hello, I love your profile. I really believe in what you're doing. I would love to connect maybe for a virtual session 1st. I don't have any karma, but I'm really interested in connecting and getting to know the site...(anyone of those would be good). But people just kind of want to (hook up) cuddle and that's discouraging for pro and enthusiast
    alike.

Joining a cuddle party in your town could be your thing if you're really looking for a platonic Cuddle

@KozyKim I sometimes wonder if part of the reason you get that is the site's marketing, which basically says sign up and, bang, you'll be cuddling immediately.

  • Bouncing off what @KozyKim and @WriterGF said:

It's also interesting that people not getting cuddles before joining the site have their expectations change so dramatically upon joining the site and still not getting cuddles. To me, that speaks to the person needing to reflect on why they are the common denominator. Instead, they frequently blame the site and/or the cuddlers even though in effect nothing for them has changed.

I think so many people avoid introspection for one reason or another. Instead of using the rejections as a learning opportunity, it becomes a pain point they cannot touch and so lash out. Change is often uncomfortable, but as the cliche goes: "if you're not growing, you're dying".

When I was struggling to find quality romantic dates and found myself in a toxic pattern of dating abusive men, I initially blamed the men, then myself for being so stupid/naive/broken/etc. But then I realized that if I could recognize the pattern, I could also change it. I could choose to take a different approach. I could choose how I felt about myself. Am I magically full of self-confidence and never have bad dates any more? Absolutely not 😅. But I do respect myself enough now to have boundaries, reflect, and set boundaries for myself.

I imagine that so many dissatisfied, lonely people looking for touch could likely change their circumstances by likewise taking the learning opportunities for what they are. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@WestsideMarc , maybe you should solve your problems by dumping your complaint in someone's inbox then blocking them to prevent a response. I mean, I heard somewhere that people do that.

  • @WriterGF yeah you sure have a point there. I guess there's a happy medium somewhere between talking for days and never actually booking a session and then just booking one without saying anything. My very first sentence of my profile says make sure to read my whole profile because there is booking criteria at the end. You would think that they would read the first and last Paragraphs at least to seem legit, if they're really interested in real platonic cuddling..

I remember when I first got on here I got so many inquiries and I think they just wanted the new person to see what they could get out of them other than platonic. Once I rewrote my profile to be very specific about what I did and didn't want things dropped off. Which made it much better in some ways because I got people like @OhioMike who is very platonic very cozy and cuddly and so much fun to be around.
Good professional cuddlers are not gonna put up with any crap and they're going to vet people well. Which will lead to less cuddling for some people and then a lot of times some of the newer pro cuddlers could end up getting banned for various reasons and that's maybe why it seems like it's dying.

On my end, I wouldn't say it's dying. I'm just losing interest. But every once in a while, I get a really great client that makes it memorable.

@KozyKim Reminds me of the recruiters on LinkedIn who complain that people don't bother to read job descriptions before applying.

  • I have to echo what @LadyVel said... I too have seen new members here and there.
I have had a major slowing in communications, but much of that is on me... I haven't been as active on the site recently, and I need to update my bio.

My experience in the community has been wonderful. I haven't cuddled with a ton of people, but those that I have had the honor of connecting with have all been awesome.
It's been a mixed bag for me between pros and enthusiasts. It definitely takes a little longer to connect with enthusiasts but I have no problem taking things slow if it means the experience will be safe and beneficial for everyone.

As with most things in life, you get out of it what you put in.

Stay safe everyone, and big hugs! 🤗😊

  • This is one of the silliest posts I’ve ever seen. I’ve been on CC for 10 years and the growth that I’ve witnessed has been amazing.

  • Cuddle Comfort is definitely dying. Only us zombies still skulk these halls.

  • [Deleted User]Brooklynn916 (deleted user)

Newbie here! So people are joining 😊

I will say with the crazy load of messages I got within 5 min of creating my profile, I deleted/ignored many cause they were just off putting. Many just said "hi this is me" and sent pics of themselves. Some were from far far away wanting to "just chat" and it felt super overwhelming.

A nice intro. You know, name age and where your from. What you're looking for. Fun cute facts about yourself go a long way with me getting back to you timely. I'm here to meet people who need to feel some warmth from another human. And who understand this is professional. Good communication is important.

  • I was wondering the same. There hasn't been anyone online in my state so theres basically no possibility of meeting anyone. I feel this site needs to do more marketing

  • @BlueIris

    😂😂😂😂

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@joe7 Yes on marketing, but the whole pursuit needs media attention. Platonic cuddling is very much a niche activity which a lot of people have never heard of ... which in part explains why some otherwise reasonable people immediately assume the site is a cover for sex work.

  • I think if you cap what a cuddler can make an hour it will make it more comfortable for all..I too have had many so called cuddlers wanting to offer up menus to choose from but unlike others every time I have reported they have been investigated and banned. Everytime it has been someone asking for over 100 an hr.

  • Not sure if the site’s dying out or if it’s just in Australia, but there’s hardly anyone active here. You try sending a message and often get blocked for no reason. The so-called “professionals” aren’t much better either — they rarely respond or only check in once every few weeks. Not a great experience lately.

It wouldn’t hurt to put up a billboard ad outside metropolitan downtowns of major cities asking:

“Laid off? Come cuddle with us and begin a new career”

I think the message would hit home with all the laid off women with a cardboard box of pictures driving by considering how common that scenario is these days. And where the women go men shall follow.

    AI creating new jobs.

Realizing the OP is banned from here, I think it is an interesting perspective.
    Is Cuddle Comfort dying?
With 600,000 + total members which includes over 9000 + Professional Cuddlers I can't fathom it dying, sure there's challenges on here but it feels to me more like growing pains then dying! 🤔
Thank you @KozyKim for the kind words above 😊

  • My only observation on this topic is with the following criteria: woman, pro, within 5 miles of NYC, under $140, host I get 12 results. Would think there's greater opportunity among 9 million plus people.

  • In fact I see a new niche for CC to expand and spin off. Hospice Comfort. For the lonely people at end of life. CC could make money through training and certification as well as the percentage of bookings for end of life cuddles. Many older people have no one left and this could be comforting. End of life care is a high dollar, high margin business.

Luckily, speaking for many older people, I use probably 5 percent of what my smartphone is capable of and by that period in my life I will probably be incapable of accessing the site. So looking at it from that angle, CC is dying.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@BigSpoonBlanket That doesn't surprise me. That close to NYC, everything is incredibly expensive.

@mike1974 The challenge with what you're suggesting is that cuddle pros are not employees of the site, so the site has no right to set their rates. They're independent contractors. If a pro is charging too much for their area, then they won't get business and will have to lower their price. If they are getting business but some people can't afford them, no real reason to change the price.

  • Is this site dying? It was dead a long time ago with all the pros taking over and how expensive a basic cuddle is and how every pro profile has so many ridiculous add ons. The real question is how much money the owner is making. I’d like to see year over year revenue/profit streams. I don’t put any stock in the amount of active users on bc from a lot of the comments, they don’t respond or are fake profiles, or just inactive profiles.

    @Midnight01 What keeps you here?

  • It was dead a long time ago with all the pros taking over and how expensive a basic cuddle is and how every pro profile has so many ridiculous add ons.

By that measure the American economy should be dying because what you described is basic capitalism. If enough people decline paid cuddle services the prices will theoretically go down.

  • [Deleted User]Jaeger84 (deleted user)

I think it depends on the area as well.
I gave up on this site a few months ago and logged in yesterday out of curiosity.
Zero visitor to my profile and no response to a single message.
I search for people and it’s the exact same folks and the vast majority have not logged in for months.
I am filtering out professionals though.
Looking for people further away is also something I am trying to avoid.
Maybe time to permanently delete the profile don’t think this will change at least in my area. Unfortunately there are no alternatives.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@Jaeger84 Unfortunately, if you only want enthusiasts, almost doesn't matter where you are. They're a rarity.

  • @jbabycuddles I totally agree, also it depends on the location I seem to have more views from other cities ,then my own....I think its maybe dead in other cities, but popular in more of the bigger cities. And I think CC needs more marketing but hey thats just my opinion.
