Really low points in entertainment

Not sure if most folks still know what "jumping the shark" means - it was a reference to what was probably the worst episode of "Happy Days". What are the "jumping the shark" moments from your favorite tv shows/movies?

For me, this little stinker will always be burned into my brain. There is no sane world in which Bea Arthur is rationally a part of Star Wars. Don't get me wrong, she was a great actress, but this was wrong. Also didn't help to have VR interspecies porn introduced to kids lol

This travesty aired Nov 17, 1978. I meant to post yesterday, but was a bit preoccupied. One of the best movies ever made followed by this steaming pile of bantha poodoo.

    Final episode of How I Met Your Mother. Not like it was world class TV before then, but that last episode destroyed the series. At least they made it that far

    @DelilahWylder I think the problem with the ending of HIMYM is that they planned for a specific ending of the show before they started it, but as with most storytelling, the characters tend to drive the writers more than the writers drive the characters.

    So, after several seasons of character development, they weren't willing to give up their pre-determined ending and basically forced the characters back into the original mold.
