Rental Family (with Brendan Fraser)

Has anyone seen Rental Family yet, the new movie with Brendan Fraser? It looks really good and I think there's a lot of parallels to Cuddle Comfort. I like the idea of hiring someone to fill in for an absent parent, friend, sibling or significant other. I wish we could normalize this kind of thing more in America. It could have a positive influence on people's mental health.

    I thought it was fantastic. Way better than I expected.

    The premise of the movie is very similar to what we are doing here on CC. Basically getting human connection from a stranger. It might be something that catches on in western culture since many are in a deficit.

    Although at least here (on CC) we are fully aware of what we are doing. I don't like the idea of lying or fooling an innocent person with a fabrication. I enjoyed the movie & the reflection it evokes.
