It'd be nice to have the option to "Hide" or "Exclude" certain users from search results and listings. I used to use this on a dating site a while back and it was really nifty. If I'm overlooking this option, please elbow me in the right direction.
@DarenPNW There is no way to exclude specific users from search results. A few people block those they don't intend to cuddle, as a (lame sauce) work-around.

Anyone you block or has you blocked , will be excluded from your search results. The max allowed is 200.
Thanks, I don't have reason to "block" them per se but I may just opt for the lame sauce work-around if need be.
@Sooson I had no idea there was a maximum to how many people you can block. That's unfortunate @DarenPNW I don't see it as lame ... Just block away .. sounds efficient to me.
@MeltMyWay tip: If you are maxed out, unblock those who have you blocked. A one-sided block on this platform practically functions as a mutual block, so save them for where they are actually needed.
Yes, I have mentioned this hide feature before instead of blocking; it seems like a simple website checkbox fix but maybe not. The technology of the platform remains mostly stagnant although I do see little changes occasionally.
Another great benefit would be not repeatedly going back to someone’s profile only to realize “oh that’s why I’m not interested in this person”, and then the ensuing “hey why does this person keep looking at my profile without messaging me”?
I really feel like this is an important and highly useful function whose time has really come.
Perhaps the mods could push this one up the ladder.
I have blocked many people for exactly the same reason. I understand the person i blocked may take it personally and/or may be offended as well. Sorry about that My proposed solution is that the site changes the word from block to hide(or something similar).: The person on the other end when try to access your page should get a message like, "the profile is hidden", which is way better and less drama than "you are blocked" Just my 2c
Def some great perspectives here.
