Thought I would start a thread for folks to share pics and info about their cuddle domains.
Big comfy couch across from.smart tv. Sometimes I like to go to youtube on the tv for soothing rain or ocean sounds ? In winter the tv stand has a faux fireplace and space heater which is also very relaxing. Otherwise I like watching movies or bingewatch on netflix or watch britcoms like Are You Being Served or Keeping up Appearances on Amazon Prime?
Oh I wish I had a picture rn! As I’m not at home right now lol
But I have this whole bed set up in the living room, by the couch with a tv and sound system set up for viewing or listening pleasures. The AC set right in front to keep us cool in this California weather

I just did this yesterday with things around my house and garage. I need to buy some big pillows and id like to get a candle but I can’t handle flowery stuff. I need like buttercream, coffee, cupcake kind of flavors! I am kinda nervous to host! ?
My at-home cuddle space is this mess:
Complete with junk, because I have found (I think) a nice balance between "too perfect to live in" and "pigsty," and I'm not about to upset it for the sake of a photo op.
Behold my book press (topped with a picture one of my cousins took in Ireland)! Cough awkwardly at the stack of off-brand Kleenex boxes beside it! Ponder the long line of glasses cases (each pair with its own special something to keep my poor brain in one piece in various settings)! View the vase of cinnamon-scented stuff, and consider the unusually large number of candles!
Never mind the white cardboard box. Those're just toys: kama, a whip, scalpels—you know, martial arts and craft stuff. (Why, yes, I do like Indiana Jones.) They really deserve a cooler box... but I don't have one.
My stack of books to read is a lot shorter than it used to be, because I took a couple of series off when the thing started wobbling. It's much tidier now. Oh, and the weird black thing hanging down the right hand side of the picture? A ridiculously long black hoodie! From China! I love that thing. It's so warm and comfy. Like a hoodie, except it reaches my knees. Brilliant. The black pole it seems to be standing on is actually completely unconnected—it's a cane, black and silver and all fancy and I'm kind of worried about using it too much in case I beat up the walking end, which doesn't seem properly protected to me.
Not bad for a basement, eh?
@iamkimmyp the fireplace would put me to sleep just watching it is mesmorizing!
@creativecuddles it is pretty relaxing. If I didn't have that I would play a fireplace video on youtube lol Your space looks very nice and relaxing. The candles would be a nice touch! @cease2exist Yes! I love that show! Poor Elizabeth keeps breaking Hyacinth's Royal Doulton (the handpainted perrywinkle) every time she goes over for tea and biscuits lol
The fireplace vid mention reminds me of when they would play the yule log on tv Christmas eve for those of us with no fireplaces lol
I admit that I use my fake fireplace in the summer also! I just don't turn the space heater side of it on. Is there anything better that a flickering fire? Real or otherwise.
@pmvines I remember those! In fact I actually have a yule log recording in my Christmas boxes for those times we didn't have a fireplace. My kids have come to love that hokey DVD! Strange what we use to create family traditions.
