Why would a cuddler block someone for no reason other than the cuddles did not show when promised? Please provide feedback.

Had to read that 3 times to make sense of it.

Are you asking why a cuddler would BLOCK someone? A cuddler can't ban someone.

If someone made an appt and did not show that's plenty of reason for someone to block someone else.

Heck, I've been blocked on other sites for even looking at a profile!

I’m talking about someone making an appt and the cuddler not showing or calling but texting maybe another time at the last minute. Then banning the client.

Blocking? Cause they made a decision. People are allowed to make decisions all the time. Why ask obvious questions that rile poeple-up? I see someone is still working.

  • @Stillworkin247 Like Choco said, cuddlers cannot ban anyone. To be banned is to be forbidden access to this website. Only Admins (Mark and Reurbo) can do that. If we are talking about something that happened to you, then you mean to say she blocked you. If you were banned, you wouldn't be here to post the question. ;-)

There's no explaining why some people do the things they do. Maybe she didn't want to see you for some reason and didn't want to have to explain why. Her last-minute cancellation without explanation was unprofessional, and the "maybe another time" text seems disingenuous. If she had a real emergency but wanted you as a client she should have said something like, "So sorry --- I have an emergency and can't make it today, but I would love to reschedule for this same time next week." Or something like that.

Or maybe she felt you asked her why she canceled like that one too many times, and just decided to block you. Whatever her reasons, be they good, bad, logical, or stupid, it seems like a done deal. If she is a flaky person, you dodged a bullet. Count your blessings and move on! Hopefully your next pro is professional and reliable. Good luck and happy cuddling.

Ok i will clarify I apologize for using the wrong word. I was asking about being blocked.

  • Someone blocked me just for visiting their profile. I never even messaged them.

  • I don’t always remember which profiles I’ve already seen, especially if the member swaps out pics. So if a user is totally inappropriate as a friend or a cuddle partner and I realize that I’ve viewed multiple times, I block them to make certain they don’t get the idea I’m stalking.

@UKGuy HAHAHAHHA! I've been there before. Hilarious.

I was blocked once by someone who got banned 3 days later.

Not much you can do if someone blocks you. Maybe it's something you did or maybe they were having a bad day.

Wouldn't put too much energy into why someone blocked you. Ends up being a waste of energy and time.

  • I'm a professional on here from Virginia. I don't believe I have anyone blocked. Never has even come up in my mind as a necessity. Maybe I'm lucky? There are usually other ways to deal with a situation in a professional manner than just blocking... If you get blocked for no reason you understand, then it's probably not a professional you would have wanted to meet anyway. :-/

  • I've been blocked by someone that had seconds before sent me a message saying they changed their mind about seeing me. Talking with another local in the area that had seen him, she said he had extreme social anxiety, so I took it to mean he was afraid of how I would respond to him saying no (which, for the record, I'm totally fine with someone telling me no).

If it was a young woman, I wouldn't be surprised if she did it out of a gut response to protect herself from what she thought was about to be a nasty response. I don't think her actions are justified considering this situation (not to mention it's quite unprofessional and not particularly mature), but I do see why she might have reacted the way she did. Pair that with the situation, which was she previously said yes and you even made plans but she decided not to go and now has to face that she didn't follow through with what she said, I can see why she would block. It's less about you and more about the perceived threat on her end of how the other person will respond to this situation.

I'm a big fan of being upfront even if my answer isn't what the other person wants to hear because the more we can normalize being upfront with our wants and accepting of hearing "no" if someone does not want to fulfill those wants, the more healthy conversations and interactions we can have overall.

You just gave a reason - they did not show up. If they had other reasons, only they would know.

I was blocked by someone shortly after I joined this site. It was someone from out of state who messaged me. It was polite. I responded politely. They indicated they had not gotten any responses from women but they had cuddled with paid cuddlers. I asked them if they thought that their married status was a barrier. It was just a question and worded exactly like that and I got blocked. So, I don't know if they took offense at the question or not. It was kind of weird on my end but I guess it doesn't matter, obviously they don't want to communicate with me. I wish I knew if I did something to offend them, though, because it was never my intention and I would apologize.

One question I've got about the forums - if someone is blocked, do you see their responses if they communicate in the forums?

@Babichev, so far as I know, you can still see forum posts and comments made by people who've blocked you. I vaguely remember being blocked by somebody, and then reading some comments they'd written in the forums afterward. At least, I think I remember that. It's been a while, and I'm not sure exactly when they blocked me—but I'm pretty sure I saw their messages on the forums after the block.

Ugh! What a topic! I feel like any other social site, it’s a sifting process. Here has not been much different. For me these are my whys....

I have had men message me every couple of hours. One in particular was upset He would send more messages when I didn’t respond right away. So, I blocked him. I am at work at my job or cannot access a website. It felt very desperate and needy to me.

I’ve had men ask how my area was groomed when we exchanged texts. I told him he didn’t need to know that to cuddle with me. I said it was very clear we were not a cuddling match. He kept texting me incessantly with sexy pictures of himself. Yes, he is good looking but it’s not what I’m here for. He blocked me, I blocked him.

I have had the same man message me from different accounts. I asked him why so many accounts. He said it was another woman on the site “spoofing”him. Then he denied it. I got different stories from him. I thought it was extremely creepy and I blocked him. I also blocked every man in his age range that had profiles that looked like they were his. There were multiple.

I have had a woman ask to get extra close to me. It was unwanted. She was friends with some of the men I blocked. I blocked her.

Those who don’t seem genuinely interested in clearly communicating or care about a healthy conversation, I may choose to block them. One liners like hey or just a random picture with nothing being said does not promote openness for me. Closed off and disconnected are opposite directions from my personal wants, goals and lifestyle. It may work for some, but; it’s not even kidney beans when I am looking for a delicious steak.

Some cuddlers appear to be looking for dates. The draw to me is this is cuddling. I’m not in Sparta. ;) There are separate apps for dating. I do not want to impress someone. I prefer to avoid the ‘games’ or pressures of dating. I want to snuggle up with someone who has a “normal” to me, kind an even temperament who can be open and have a dialog.

I don’t feel like I have to explain anything to people if I choose to exercise my right to use the block button. It’s there for a reason. Sometimes, I don’t like the vibe or it does not appear someone is being genuine or honest. It throws up red flags. I want to converse with those I am comfortable with and who I choose to interact with.

The amount of messages can honestly get overwhelming at times!!!! I don’t always immediately reply. I don’t expect immediacy from them either. If someone keeps checking out my profile and there is no response after a while - that is a little off putting to me. I may block them. It feels stalkerish to me.

I prefer a flake free and polite individual to cuddle with. It doesn’t seem like it’s asking for much. I have seen a colorful sampling since I have joined. I’ll find my ‘colors’. Now with this anxiety and high guard, all I want is a friendly warm cuddle. ;)

I have had very pleasant and polite experiences so far with those I have met. It has been worth the sifting. Some people don’t know what they want. Meh, that’s on them. I already know what I want. Time is limited, why tolerate anything less?

If I have met them then the block would be a different story. I’d have no issues telling someone no in the real world.

@Blondi I click on profiles on the forums to make it easier for me to follow conversations. It's easier for me to remember profile pictures than user names. Profile pictures only show up when viewing the profile on mobile. It has nothing to do with stalking.

I completely agree with @Mike403, that's what I do also. If they post something that strikes me for one reason or another I click on the hyperlink and read the profile.
    No other reason.

  • Being blocked by some is a blessing.
