People that dont respond to messages

it us amazing the number of pros and non pros that don't reply to messages !! If someone is trying to earn income yet doesnt have the common courtesy to answer a question as simple as "can I set up an appt for this Saturday ?" or "what hours are you available?" is simply rude. If you no longer cuddle take your profile down. If you dont want o cuddle with someone based on their picture or profile or whatever then kindly take 45 seconds and write that you arent interested and hope that the finds another cuddle buddy. But the non communication makes this website a joke especially when a "pro" doesnt respond.

  • I wouldn't worry about it. That's how it works on about every site where social interaction is involved. If somebody doesn't want to talk to you, they just dont. Replying that they aren't interested may lead to them being verbally attacked. Many people have the experience that it's safer just to remain silent.

  • @TempleDog61 @Mike403 I am sorry you experienced those issues as there is no excuse for not returning a message whether you do or don’t want to cuddle with the individual. I personally don’t go by how you look, I go by our conversations and my gut feeling, but if they don’t give you the time to even converse that blows that idea! You are both far away but if you are ever near Harrisburg look me up I’ll give you both B2G2 for the $120, no expiration. If it’s prior to Oct 1 it would be $100 for the 4 hours. That’s to show you that not all pros are the same. Happy Cuddling!

  • I am sorry if there was any confusion. I gave this special to @TempleDog61 @Mike403 because of the treatment and lack of communication from a couple of the pro’s they messaged. I just didn’t want them thinking all pro’s were like that!

  • It really is a bummer when you're out here looking to connect and people just throw a wall up like that. At the end of the day, you've gotta respect it, but it sure as hell doesn't feel good.

  • A profile pic might help

  • So many people don't bother to do the basics yet expect to be well received. I don't know that there is any excuse for a current active member who is listed as being here since 2016 or 2017 not to have a picture. Of anything. I have been getting requests and when I look at their profiles there is nothing there. Not even a token picture to associate as them, there are many free clip art sites; if they haven't been able to take the time with today's current phone capabilities to put SOMETHING as a profile picture and have only given me two lines to read then they aren't worth the time honestly. I would like to think new member has a grace period to fine tune a profile, but not greater than 18 months!

Yes, PRO's should respond or remove their pro status, but for the enthusiasts out here we need minimal effort on your part also or don't bother contacting.

If you've been on this site longer than say 6 months and have nothing for a picture and haven't filled out the profile and stats I won't take the time to respond.

It's an easy way for the women on here to weed out the ones who aren't willing to communicate or do the basic required.

We get a lot of messages guys, MAKE yourself stand out. Not by telling me how beautiful I am when you can't even see my face either!

@templedog61, maybe it's not so much the reciever as the sender. Try messaging one of the women who post in the forums frequently I'm sure she'd let you know what needs to be stepped on your profile or message content. I have not actually looked at yours but if you are properly filled out then maybe it's your opening statement?

And as a side note to everyone, if we don't have a pink Professional on our profile don't ask us how much we charge for a cuddle! Especially not in your first message.

    Thanks, good luck.

  • [Deleted User]snughugs (deleted user)

Yeah, just taking a quick glance at your profile @TempleDog61 you've not filled out your bio at all, don't say whether you drink or have kids, list your job as just 'professional' etc. I understand not wanting to put up a photo but there's really very little to go off at all. Especially if the first message is asking to meet up and the other person has no time to get to know you first.

  • @snughugs you did not post a pic either.

But good suggestion. My profile is incomplete. (:
Living in NY I have had good luck getting responses

  • @TempleDog61, thanks for your response to my post and for the great communication. I’ve only been on here for 2 months and have received more email in the last 2 months than the last 2 years all from CC. If you check out Temple’s profile he’s only been on here since September 2018, that could have been yesterday or Sept 1 and as a professional he may just not have gotten to it or thought God if nobody will reply why bother. There are thousands of individuals on here that have no profile picture but we only choose to point it out when someone questions why he can’t get a simple response to a request to cuddle. With as many pro’s I have talked to in the last 2 months they don’t decide who to reply to by their profile picture because if they did there would go alot of their business. There are discussions in the forum why people don’t have pictures and as a pro we have to answer a reply and ask for a picture, if they don’t respond with a picture thats different but not to respond is unprofessional. If it pays off awesome, if not at least you responded and that’s all that matters. I can honestly say Templedogs and I have been communicating since that post and yes, he is professional and is very busy but wanted to thank me for the offer and tell me how very kind it was for me to do that and it wasn’t even me that ignored their original email. If pro’s depend on this $ to pay their bills I would think twice about ignoring an email. We are trying to promote cuddling, bring more people into the world of cuddling but how some pro’s go about it isn’t the way. On another note, his humor and response to messages is pretty awesome, I am glad I took the time to message him and I don’t even know what he looks like, but to a pro, that shouldn’t matter.

  • @snughugs he isn’t obligated to put a photo, what does it matter if he drinks thats none of my business unless he shows up drunk and he isn’t bringing his kids to cuddle so why would one care how many kids he has. 6 lines to me really isn’t a Bio, maybe an introduction but not a Bio. You can’t make assumptions as to what the first email was about to judge this man.

After messaging back and forth I look forward to cuddling with him.

Sorry to hear about anyone getting the silent treatment from people on CC. In some cases I feel like it may be justified, such as if there was a previous interaction that made them uncomfortable, or, yes, when there is literally nothing on the profile and you're approached with a stale "hi" ; nothing else. Some of us need more to go off than that. I know from friends who frequent dating sites that a blank or one/two line profile even with a decent photo is pretty much a death sentence, you are passed up as a red flag and not taking the site you're on seriously. Since on CC you are looking for a cuddle buddy and want to connect, naturally it wouldn't be any different.

And then I guess there's also the new-ish phenomenon of "ghosting culture". The premise goes that nobody owes you anything - not even a goodbye. And while that may be a hard-to-swallow red-tinged pill, that doesn't mean it lessens the hurt...

I'm a pro too, and I've had my moments with this. I'm empathic, and I absorb whatever energy or vibe people are putting out around me. Some folks can be exhausting to interact with if I'm honest. I'm not always sure how to communicate that to them in a neutral way without hurting anyone's feelings, or seeming like I've dissembled their right to open up into how it makes me feel when they do. I don't actually ghost someone unless they have been blacklisted. Normally if I feel from the get-go that we won't have a good chemistry during the session, I let them know.

I've gone long periods without answering messages for a few other reasons:

    1) I was truly busy, or did not have access to internet for a period of time (yes, people do go on holiday to get away from it all, shocking, I know).
    2) I was too depressed or avoidant to find the motivation to talk at the time; my mental illness really bogs me down a lot when it comes to communication or social situations.
    3) The person's vibe is off to me... The second I start getting innuendo or anything of that sort after I have repeatedly tried to redirect the convo... I'm out.
    4) The person was very curt in approaching me like they were going to order a pizza, maybe writing "hey I need a session plz" and nothing more... At this point I already know probably won't jive as I look for specific kinds of communication to do my vetting of clients.
    5) There was just nothing more to add to the conversation, or it was really going nowhere.

I haven't ever rejected anyone based off looks other than if they have nothing to look at, aka, blank profile and unwilling to show me or tell me who they are and establish some common ground.

Sorry to hear about your experiences...the same happens to tons of pros, and normally after they've laid out rules and boundaries. If dude had some ulterior motive, they usually drop the ball after that, and after a bunch of time has been wasted walking them through the service.

  • @Catloaf I absolutely agree with your #1 and 2 those are situations out of our control. #2 is absolutely just cause for not responding because during those times you do need to take care of yourself. Sometimes its a matter of life or death and only you know what you need. I know how difficult those times are, I do. Its then you wish you had all the love and strength from a cuddle without having to see anyone.

My apologies if I offended any pro's with this post, that was not my intention.

  • [Deleted User]bleu (deleted user)

From an enthusiast point of view.... at end of the day, if someone doesn't respond to you, you have little right to complain.

It's not up to you how people choose to act and whatever expectation of courtesy you have is irrelevant. Learn to accept that and you may find things a little easier.

I've responded when not feeling it, not wanting to seem rude. I've not responded due to not being in a great head or heartspace.
I've not responded because the messages and profiles had very little to
go on. And I've responded, only to find people drop me after some time of exchanging messages and arranging a time to meet. I've also met people and they've decided not to meet again for their own reasons.

Trying to find something consistent is frustrating, but I don't let that stop me. Some of the outcomes have been frustrating and some even hurtful, but i also know that how they act is out of my hands, and so I accept it. Eventually.

Look at how you're presenting yourself if it keeps happening because maybe there's something you could be doing to improve the circumstances. Otherwise, take it with a grain of salt and remember it's not all about you.

If you don't try, you never know. And if you did try, good for you and well now you know. Onward!

  • Eh. I learned a long time ago that nobody ever promised me a rose garden. What you want may differ from what you have and fantasy will almost always differ from what is real. So if someone doesn't respond to you, it is not really all that important in the grand scheme of things, and it is a bit intrusive to assume someone owes an explanation for not doing so.

  • Bleu-- if you have advertised as a Pro athen there is NO EXCUSE not to respond even with one sentence. That's like owning a restaurant and deciding who to serve or not. !!! No excuses

  • edited September 2018

    @TempleDog61

I will kindly point out that while the premise of your point seems correct, professional cuddlers are not restaurants. We are in the business of providing close platonic intimacy to human beings on our own personal time which is valuable; there is no corporate mandate or policy to oblige us to cuddle or respond to someone we don't want to. We have a right to respond or not respond as we see fit.

Cuddling involves giving and receiving consent whether you are pro or non. When someone does not respond, most people would take that as an obvious 'no'. Is it the best and most effective way to communicate? Yeah, probably not. But why should pros (who have their own boundaries and personal preferences as to the types of communication they will reciprocate) be obliged to answer if they know they don't want to?

It sounds like you are more T. O. 'd about the fact that someone is not giving you their answer in a direct way that you want. That' s just life. No point in having hangups about it; there are always bigger fish to fry and other ponds to try.

  • I think this is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. I did suggest @TempleDog61 fill out his bio but the profile pic is no different than the thousands of Cuddlers on here that don't have their picture posted because of personal reasons and some because of professional reasons and like many others after you talk for a while and they are comfortable they will share their photo as he did with me but professionally I understand why he chooses not to share it. We all have guidelines we have for messages and this has been a learning experience for them . @bleu I do agree that consistency is the key but whether you do or don't get a response don't let that affect you because it is out of your hands and ultimately how we handle the situation is the extent we let it affect us. Pro's each have their own do's and don'ts with every aspect of their cuddling which they have every right to. The gentlemen here just happened to choose several that don't answer for whatever reason but I do understand their frustration.

  • It could also be a system glitch. I just had a situation where I messaged a pro cuddler with several positive Karma reviews and she did not respond for quite a few days. I had written it off and assumed she did not want to see me. She did finally contact me and said that she never got an email notification. Since this is usually a side gig for most pros they have busy lives outside of this and are not constantly on here checking messages and may not login regularly until they receive an email alert that they have a new message. The same thing happened to me with the same cuddler...I didn't receive an email notification after she sent the message.

Bottom line is that it may not always mean they don't want to see you.

  • That is true because my first cuddle helped me yesterday with some settings I wasn't even aware of. I heard there was a way to have CC app on your cell and you automatically see the message pop up but I haven't even taken the time to look but if thats true that would be nice.

  • No one owes us a response. I would think pros would be more inclined to respond to most messages but non-professionals . . . you should see some of the messages I get from guys that I've never met and they have nothing on their bio. If they want a response, they need to take the time to send a message that deserves a response.

  • Just more entitled men who are emotionally challenged and feel they are owed something that they don't necessarily deserve. I am not saying it is good manners to not respond to someone when is reasonable, however I don't believe the bulk of men getting irate over lack of responses are being reasonable in their expectations. This is an at will internet site, nobody has to respond to you.

  • [Deleted User]creedhands (deleted user)

One suggestion- if you do not get a response from someone, do not blow them off completely. Maybe at that time they were not in the right frame of mind to respond. Try giving them a week or two space and contacting them again. As for me, I get that I am not everyone's cup of tea whether it be my age, my weight, my location or whatever. Instead of expecting responses, I almost expect to receive no response. Not because I am pessimistic, but because I know that my type falls into the majority of people on this site. For every person I contact, I am sure they get 10 or 20 others just like me. That's why I post on these threads. So people can get a better idea of the kind of person that I am. Maybe I can stand out from the crowd for the better this way.

  • This question is for the pro's. Sometimes I get messages that just say "hi." No bio. Then those that have a bio but still just say "hi." I have wondered whether other pro's have found not to take them serious or not? I have gotten both and I do reply but they don't seem serious but I don't want to put everyone with just one word messages together because you never know. Just curious what you have found?

  • edited September 2018

I got a message that just said "hi their", No capitalization and 'their', not 'there'. I did not respond.

  • edited September 2018

@CreativeCuddles I'm not sure how long you've been doing your thing, but in my own experience, it isn't always about length of the message, but what's said elsewhere. You say these folks have bios. How do they read? Do they sound genuine?

The majority of my clients who messaged just 'hi' are either no longer clients, or they teeteed on the edge or crossed a line if I gave them a shot. How much effort somebody puts into their communication and curiosity of the cuddle movement can be pretty telling about their intentions... Not all the time, but a lot of the time. Some folks don't know what to say and I get that. But if they're being really short with me, like this for instance, I generally won't give them the time of day:

    Client: Hi
Me: Hey there, how's your day today? Can I help you with anything?
    Client: Rate

If it's made clear in chat that they clicked on and read nothing of mine, I leave it. Not worth it.
It's the reason I have a long-ass website for my clients to sift through before booking with me. That is how I vet them. I don't want anybody who hasn't taken the time to know what I'm about when I've laid it out everywhere for them to see.
Plus, I generally don't get along with people who find 5-10 minutes worth of reading or writing to be the worst thing in the world.

  • I said to someone they should take your CC information, charge a $1 membership fee and there probably wouldn’t be as many signing up if they have to give CC info!

  • @CreativeCuddles Mhm, I was reading that thread earlier. I also think a membership fee via credit card would deter from a lot of issues. Or some type of profile approval if there were a way to delegate profile moderators for each major city, state, or province. Then quality members can be let in, while low effort profiles are asked to evaluate their reason for being here. I'm sure that's already been thought of and it's too excluding and idyllic... But if you had something like that in place, guarantee you'd see a whole lot less of the "pizza orders" as I like to call them... Chat efforts and inquiries that read like someone is online talking to a Domino's employee.

  • Yes, I mean even 10$ year or something if they aren’t serious they sure won’t pay it!
