Pro karma vs enthusiasts karma

When looking at someone's profile I usually check their karma if they have any. Do female enthusiasts care which type you have more of? Is it preferable that you have seen a pro, almost like a vetting process. Just curious

They prob will check your karma, and a female enthusiast will prob look at who is leaving karma, type of people you are cuddling, the quality of karma being left, etc. I think karma left by other enthusiasts will carry more weight because pros want karma for business, whereas enthusiasts, especially women, don’t.

  • I don't care who they get karma from. I care what it says.

There is certainly a difference between the obligatory standard karma and someone who enthusiastically had a genuinely good experience. I second what @BlueIris said. It's not hard to notice the copy and paste thank you notes.

  • A multi-layered analysis of Karma can be quite interesting and surprisingly revealing. Perfect job for a wet Sunday afternoon.

Remember to consider what people don't say, as well as what they do say.

If you encounter abusive Karma or the like, Report it to the Mods. Malicious or False Karma is routinely deleted.

As a pro, I don’t care who it came from. I’m looking to see you are respectful and fun to hang out with. Being safe is my top priority not making money.

  • @CharlieBear Said it perfectly!

From my experience Karma from some pros is suspicious because I've met with 2 people that had a bunch of 5 star karmas from only pros & they were both very handsy. It made me wonder about their "5 Star" karmas after that. It was reported.

So when somebody tells me to rely solely on their Karma to vet them I am suspect.

Karmas from fellow enthusiasts seem more legit to me because what is invested is time not money.

Again I know there are many awesome pros who don't fudge karmas but due to the ones that do it makes it hard to rely on. Vetting takes awhile for me via communication.

  • I always check Karma but even with or without Karma I'm still vetting the person very careful. I don't usually check to see if the person is a pro or not tho, I do put more trust into Karma that appears to be more genuine.

Most of the cuddlers I've been with have been friendly and kind and wonderful cuddlers. I have had some with excellent Karma that were very handsy and they were reported. I've also reported based on text messages they've sent me, some of these people are not looking for cuddles and say so in text

I've been careful with in person meets. I text them so see what they're looking for but I also do a 5 - 10 minute video call. Trying to assure our vibes match. I've caught quite a few by doing this and reported them. I also will not meet in person if they can't video chat for a few minutes.

I wish there was a way to guarantee, but there's not. So stay safe out there and get your cuddles!

I prefer to look at enthusiast karma because the expectations are more realistic. At the end of a work day, I’m tired so there’s probably dishes from breakfast still in the kitchen sink come 6pm (my commute home’s mentally exhausting), my toothbrush is probably still on the bathroom sink, and I’m moving into a townhouse so arranging and rearranging happens quite often (shout out to @decency and @CuriousJoy and someone who I believe isn’t “here” anymore?? for getting me through this time in life). It’s chaos to me, but I’m gettin’ there!!

  • Unfortunately, I have seen hundreds of Karmas by a certain type of Pro that give a very strong vibe of being written "for the client", as opposed to for their future cuddle partners' benefit or safety. That is to say, they were written in a manner to seduce the client back for more paid sessions...not to give that client's future cuddle partners any sense of their trustworthiness. As a result, enthusiast Karma tends to mean more to me, as they have nothing financial to gain.

Many men will tell you that if you don't have Karma, hurry up and go hire Pro's to get some, or no enthusiasts will cuddle with you. Speaking for myself, I have zero issue meeting people who have no Karma.

Frankly, I would rather meet a guy with no Karma any day than one who has hired half a dozen Pro's inside a month who all look like Vegas strippers. Big red flag. The type of Pro men choose on a regular basis definitely stands out, and enthusiasts are going to notice if your taste in Pro's is neither "cuddle" nor "comfort", but something else.

Overall, Karma is only a small part of how I decide to meet anyone. Personal interaction in messages and how they treat people on the boards here are very important to me. The fact that you ask this question is a nice gesture.

  • @SunsetSnuggles I always felt that it was odd advice to tell someone with no karma to pay for a pro's services for karma so they can cuddle with enthusiasts. And then they sometimes get shamed for saying they don't think it's right to pay for cuddles.

These are two different philosophies at play. Two different mindsets.

  • As a pro cuddler I definitely check karma, how long ago it was written , who left it and yes I visit the profile of the person who left it.

If your karmas are more recent that makes me feel safer ❤️‍🩹

For me, I’m not sure if a pro cuddler’s karma holds more weight but it certainly makes me feel better because I don’t think that person would lie about meeting . I do realize reviews can stretch the truth but when in doubt I always reach out to other females.. and all have been VERY HELPFUL! Safety first!

If you are a cuddler with no karma I will definitely still consider cuddling but I will ask more questions prior to meeting. Even if you have karma but are a 1st time cuddler with me, I always require a ph call prior to meeting. 🤗

  • The repeat client badge helps. Possibly.

  • As a client, does anyone get suspicious when your profile is not checked out by a pro who agrees to cuddle?

  • No. It has happened a couple of times.

I don't know exactly why a Pro wouldn't considering a profile is available, but I can think of several possible reasons.

I've met folks from the internet with whom there was no associated profile, and thus nothing to check out. Most recently: selling furniture/housewares on Nextdoor.

  • I get suspicious. Esp if they don't have karma.

  • @Huggycatbear I wouldn’t necessarily say suspicious, per se’, but closer words might be annoyed or disappointed. One would think that they would want to get to know as much as possible about the person they are soon going to be connecting with. I have a pretty long profile and a lot of karma so I certainly don’t expect them to read everrrryyyything…. but a lack of interest is somewhat a bit of a yellow flag if I’m being honest).

To be fair and balanced though, I’ve asked about that and some have said “I read a few paragraphs and also saw you had a bunch of karma and that was good enough for me” so I’d give it some weight but not too too much….

@WestsideMarc The suspicious part comes with minding my safety. Especially since I host (I'm sure you do as well). Our address is our last line of defense and I don't want to give it out willy-nilly.

Someone who doesn't check my profile as part of the booking process makes me suspect they are more likely to not come through, or simply disappear (even off the site) before our session. They don't have to read my profile, but at least check my pics to make sure I'm real.

The annoyed and disappointed feeling I share with you is yes, a lack of interest shows that they might just be in it for the money. The cuddlers I treasure are the ones who care about your comfort prior to the session, and want to do enough to establish rapport for repeat business.

As an enthusiast. I pay attention to the karma left by enthusiast because I believe it will always carrry more weight. Ethusiests are expected to be held to the same standard of Pros , but they often don' t. So when I read a profile with an enthusiets comments.. I trust them more.

And as an enthusiasts my profile doesn't reflect any repeat cuddlers which is both good and bad I guess.

But you definitely can see a repeat pro booking if they left more karma, as i have seen..I kinda don't trust a pro's karma as much. They were a paid service, If they want return business. They will leave karma.

  • @Huggycatbear
At best, it shows that the person booking blind has no sense of how to vet or look after their own safety. At worst, it is a red flag for them having no intention of carrying out the cuddle/being a scammer. I would certainly be very weirded out by the scenario.

  • For every 100 people that look at karma, there will be 100 different ways on how they weigh it. Like anything, it all falls on a spectrum and no one person’s version of it is superior to another person’s.

I will say this as a general rule—I have karma from enthusiasts and pros, and as a general rule there is more thought and depth to most enthusiasts’ karma. But I also think pros have more karma to write than most enthusiasts so they take into account the time invested, if the client is a potential repeat, and if they liked them. In the end you have to develop your own thoughts on this.

  • I’m curious why someone wouldn’t want to look at someone’s profile if they’re about to cuddle them. I know it gives more in terms of conversation during the physical cuddle if you’re walking into it a bit blind, but I would hate that. There are so many ways to enjoy a conversation and looking at someone’s profile not only helps vet them a bit better, but it opens a window into the person you’re about to get close with.

I want to know what you look forward to in a cuddle, what you prefer in terms of atmosphere and music(if any), what shows you love, bands you like, pets you have (because I will definitely want to see photos of these babies lol). It gives a bit more excitement into the cuddle.

But safety is definitely the most important part. Karma does help. I’ll check their karma and if they’ve cuddled some other people that I know and love, I’ll feel a bit more at ease. Obviously people have to start somewhere so some won’t have any, but if you’ve been here for 9 years and have zero karma, I might feel a bit wary.

I do agree that a lot of karma from a lot of pros is written more to just sell themselves and some of the karma doesn’t give any insight into the cuddle. If I see some with karma from an enthusiast, then I know a lot more work and getting to know them was put into it as opposed to someone booking a pro, but that doesn’t mean that karma from pros is useless. I do make sure when I write my karmas that it’s understood how I felt safety wise and if there are any special redeeming qualities to each and every person I’ve met and cuddled.

  • I would add that many pros respond to initial messages without checking the profile just to respond to basic info. I see many of them circle back around when they see I am serious. That is totally understandable because there are a lot of flakes out there.

  • I really worry about Karma being genuine. I unfortunately have met up with cuddlers with glowing reviews who turned out to be really creepy and I didn't feel safe. Or they were nothing like all the amazing attributes that were being written about them. ( An example would be, people who said things like "the cuddler smelt so nice and fresh" but when I met them, they needed a good shower and teeth brushing. 🤢)

  • Just remember that Karma has no deadline.

  • so I only hire Pros, i have always tried be extremely respectful thinking a Pro would give me a honest review. Virtual cuddles and Karma should not be in the same categories as person to person. just my thoughts.
