What’s the last movie you saw?

I wanted to try to start a fun, non-cuddle related thread.

Last movie I saw was last week. Mr. And Mrs Smith. Was disappointed. I watched it with someone due to their recommendation. I was so bored during it.

I love action, fantasy and sci fi movies.

    The last movie I saw was Incredibles 2!
    I tend to watch tv shows instead of movies a lot more.

    In the theater "ALPHA" I was greatly disappointed ?don't know why in the world it was rated so highly on the movie reviews.
    But on Cable LUCYYYYYYY!!!

    And Now Lucy just became a INSTANT FAVORITE I'm adding to that list as a fourth????

    In the theater ... Victoria & Abdul. I thought it was enjoyable but not spectacular.
    On Netflix, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. It felt like it could have been based on a true story, but it wasn’t. Cute, bit of fluff, bit of romance.

    Really enjoyed Black Panther, too! Great story with great actors/actresses. Loved the powerful women portrayals.

    I rarely go to a movie theatre and when I do it's a theatre that shows second-run movies because it's one third of the price. Last one I saw was "Solo - A Star Wars Story". It was ok. I only went because I had to pick a movie both I and my daughter could watch. She liked it. I can't stand the way modern sci-fi movies are all special effects, loud noises, and very little story line. Give me a classic old sci-fi movie like "Forbidden Planet" any day.

    Sci Fi fans I love you! Forbidden Planet is an absolute classic! Dune (1984) was very good too. Try the original War of the Worlds, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and The Thing just to name a few (Oops forget the Day the Earth Stood Still) all from the 50's.

    I'll give you my personal top 10 in another thread (Can anyone say Blade Runner (1982)).

    So the last movie was Crazy Rich Asians (because I'd like to cuddle with Constance Wu), a modern day Cinderella story, and before that Black Klansman (loved it).

    Strongly encouraged by a friends recommendation I watched Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and many other talented actors/actresses. Nice idea ? for the non-cuddling related thread!?

    I've been seeing a lot of good movies lately.

    Last weekend I saw Spirited Away. It was the midnight flick at a theater that gets really good films. Before that, I saw Predestination, a fascinating movie about time travel based on a story by scifi writer Heinlein. Before that I saw BlackkKlansman, the recent Spike Lee film. It was fantastic and now I'm reading the book. Before that, RBG, about Ruth Bader Ginsberg. It was amazing! And before that, watched Lion on DVD. I got it from the library. It's based on a true story. All these films have been really good. I think I've seen more movies in the last two months than I saw in the last three years. I'm on a roll!

    Last movie I saw was something on Netflix called "Bruges"? It was a dark comedy about an assassin who battles his guilt over eliminating the wrong target. I watched it with my husband and it was right up his ally, so I'm not sure if I actually thought it was funny or was just vicariously enjoying it because he was. lol

    I saw The Purge tonight. It was ok, a little disappointing. I don’t like scary movies, I’m a wimp. I did expect it to be a bit more suspenseful though. I found myself telling the characters they were stupid. Lol

    I just watched "Deadlier Than The Male" from 1967 on Youtube. Features Richard Johnson, the guy they originally wanted for James Bond before Sean Connery took the role. Also has Elke Sommer and Sylva Koscina as the two femme fatales.

    I watched a slew of animated movies the other day. The one that stands out is Jack and the Cuckoo Clock. Quite mature in theme based on the age it was recommended for, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Today I saw a movie called Searching this movie shows how much we use social media and how we use technology today . Its a thriller with some great twists and turns. I give it a thumbs up ? ?

    I have been to the films a total of less than 5-10 times in the last 10ish years, so nothing new. Not too impressed with the rehashes and Hollywood seems to have had a hard-on for DC and Marvel for the last circa decade as well. Got boring for me really fast, and I'm probably one of the few who actually preferred Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. People hate me for that, but it must be my soft spot for Kirsten Dunst.

    I have a DVD and VHS collection I love dearly and am trying to grow. I love having a physical media library rather than relying on streaming all the time. The last movie I watched was also a VHS from my childhood, Disney's The Great Mouse Detective. I love that movie! :3 <3

    Actually, I've got a 2 for $30 movie ticket I've been hanging onto which my husband and I got for Christmas 2015 or 2014 before we even got bloody married... We haven't used it because there is nothing we want to see - we are so picky with films we have gone only 4 times in our 8 years together. I'm trying to sell it, because it expires on the 30th but if no one bites, we're just going to suck it up and go see whatever looks palatable. Don't wanna waste it.

    Hey, it's a free film with drinks and popcorn, aside from the dollar store candy we'll inevitably be sneaking into the theater via my purse... Sure beats the regular $80+ for movie, snacks, dessert and arcade...

    The last movie I saw was “Juliet, Naked”. Since it left me confused (as to what the attraction is of this kind of movie), I will mention the last movie I saw that I really liked:

    “Hichki” (Hiccough).

    This is an Indian/Bollywood feel-good movie that definitely made me cry and I enjoyed it very much. Interestingly, here in California they have added these type of movies to the English-speaking movie theaters as well as foreign language theaters. When I went the theater was filled with Hindi speaking patrons.
