Moderation getting too lax?

I’ve have known of two prostitutes who were actively using this site, even know one who got banned and came back on an enthusiast account. Like it’s setting a horrible stage for me when it comes to cuddling. 2 years ago they were so much more swift with removal of these accounts now I feel like I’m competing for clientele with people who aren’t afraid to break all rules for the “sale”.

  • When you see them, you report it right? Cuz the moderators don’t see every single profile that starts up. And with you being here for a little while, you also know the moderators aren’t getting paid. They’re doing this voluntarily and when they have time. Most things I report get dealt with swiftly. They try their best considering they don’t get paid.

  • Yeah, I do report them, and I have others also report them. Yet I log in to see if they have been dealt with yet there they are. I guess maybe they changed their policy on bans so they need more evidence than I can provide.

One thing I will say and this isn't against the mods , I know several personally and they do the best they can within their scope but sometimes it is frustrating when there doesn't seem to be action taken due to not meeting the criteria to be able to take action. Like reporting someone with blatantly obvious sexual username or profile just to see them change it and still be allowed to stay. Or overtly sexual pics and poses that get removed but still allowed to stay. My guess is they play dumb about it and are given the benefit of the doubt. However, I will say there is more going on behind the scenes than we realize when it comes to building cases, and often times these folks wind up getting banned or paused for one reason or another.

Yea that bugs me too. I’ve always thought that if their name is “hunghuge” or “sexy kitten” and their profiles are highly sexual, they shouldn’t have a chance to change it. They just need to be banned. It’s obvious they aren’t going to play by the rules.

Like some profiles I’ve reported say “my cuddles are discreet and will give you the release you’ve been craving. Outfit requests allowed. 🍆 💦 ❤️ “ and to me, that’s an immediate ban right? But it just gets wiped clean and they get to stay on the site. They obviously won’t be platonic so why does that get a pass? I’ve always been confused on that.

  • I know it's like whack a mole and there is only so much one can do sometimes. I feel it's ok to both appreciate the mods and love and adore the ones I've gotten to know and meet while simultaneously being frustrated with some of the things I see on here.

    @Sheena123
Yeah, I reported a new pro the other day with 4play in their username. A few days later they were still here just with different name, as well as several karmas 🫩

  • There is an intrinsic problem in that if an account is banned, the user can just create another one. Nothing to do with the site, that's just how the internet works. (In another universe, creating a new email address means taking your whole family to your nations's capital in person to be sworn in and give DNA samples. But in this universe, it takes seconds.) This will be banned within hours, but for an active sex worker this is still enough time to produce one client and for some that's worth it.

There is also an ethos that this site exists to allow people who need a cuddle to get one. As a consequence, nearly everybody gets the benefit of the doubt the first time. I know myself from a previous life on a very different site where I was forum admin, banning people weighed very heavily on my heart. You know you are making a miserable person who is having a hard time, even more miserable. If you're a halfway decent human being, clicking the "ban user now" button is much harder than it sounds and is only done as a last resort. It isn't even that much easier for obvious trolls and repeat offenders: because you know they are having the hardest time of all.

Nonetheless, Report, Report Report. If in doubt, Report. It's the only way to keep the community safe.

How quickly things happen depends partly on how many Mods there are at any given moment, and how active they are. Obviously it varies.

The vast majority (99%+) of accounts I have reported - many hundreds if not thousands - have been banned within hours. But one very tricky problem is the account which genuinely offers platonic cuddles to clients who want that, and other things to clients who want that. Quite rightly this is not permitted here, but it can muddy the waters when trying to make a decision.

  • What @CuddleDuncan said....

I have found the site mods to be incredibly responsive; I see new accounts banned very quickly, even for non-obvious reasons. I posted in one of the threads about Jenitalia getting banned within a day, though nothing in her profile nor pics indicated anything at all that would be non-platonic. She literally could have been a new cuddler with Italian roots :)

But someone else I saw recently with an excellent, even stellar profile, got banned within a few days, in the middle of our very appropriate messaging. The mods either received a report, or saw something I didn't, and banned the pro immediately, to may chagrin, if I am to be honest.

So, I wouldn't worry.....the clients that are being drawn to the sexual innuendos are generally not the ones you want anyway, so one way to positively spin it would be to even be grateful for the pros that attract such clients, allowing you to be more confident that the ones the come your way are truly ones that gravitate toward what you offer

@CuddleDuncan "banning people weighed very heavily on my heart. You know you are making a miserable person who is having a hard time, even more miserable. "

You have a kind heart. But another way to look at it is this: you're helping to prevent a miserable or dangerous person from making others here miserable (harassment, nonplatonic requests, session misconduct) and keeping them safe from harm (assault). Someone's miserable personal situation vs. the well being and safety of the majority of users? No contest. Maybe because I'm a woman and a former pro cuddler, I have no problem banning people for good cause.

To the other commenters: yes, it can be frustrating to see what appears to be double standards or inconsistent resolutions of problems. Please know there can be extenuating circumstances. We investigate thoroughly. And we're volunteers with limited time and resources. We're doing the best we can.

  • @BlueIris oh I never not banned somebody because of my kind heart. And many I banned with a spring in my step. But sometimes it's just a hard thing to do, for me anyway.
