Could be a silly & impractical idea

Moderators please take this thread down if it is against the guidelines.

Some of us can afford cuddle sessions.
Some of us cannot.
And some of us can sponsor for others.

Given this community is large and there are so many people who look out for others..I have been thinking, how we as a group/solo can sponsor or contribute towards other's cuddle sessions if they genuinely needs one but cannot afford. Is this platform has a functionality to do it? I guess Not. I am aware of scammers can feed into this but what if pros can decide or make sure the session gets utilized.

Not sure if I was able to articulate what I wanted to say..but curious about your thoughts.

Edit (After some misinterpretation): I am NOT looking for a sponsor. I usually have some $ to spare every couple months. I might be able to sponsor solo or pool in with others to find/pay for someone ..hence this post/thought.

  • Is anyone else confused on how this works 😅

  • @consciousseeker so are you looking for a sponsor? That’s a whole lot of words, what’s the point

  • This has been brought up before on more than one occasion and the site has expressed no interest in being a part of it fir several reasons.

I suggest you find a pro who has layaway plans.

  • But I am with @coolrunnings12 — what exactly are YOU looking for out of this? Cuddle welfare? Mercy pricing? Pro bono cuddles?

Peace on Earth, one sponsorship at a time

  • @consciousseeker But in and of itself the idea is not silly. In a perfect world communal resources would be accessible for all; but we live in an imperfect world where people can’t even agree on pizza toppings. The best hope is individual gifting where one member pays for another member with each other’s consent of course.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. Yeah I think finding a member and gifting them is a good idea that I can explore.

There are dozens of cuddle parties that I have seen hosted on eventbrite such as:

    Cuddle Party - Florence Ma: Saturday, February 14th, 2026 6pm-10pm, ET https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cuddle-party-florence-ma-saturday-february-14th-6pm-10pm-et-tickets-1980235810616?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=wsa&aff=ebdsshwebmobile

    and various Facebook groups (https://www.facebook.com/groups/cuddleparty/permalink/33904421812482367/)

Which usually range from $5 - $50 for entry, but often lenient on a sliding scale, which I believe is a lot more practical and accessible for the average person.

Meetup is also a good spot to find such events. https://www.meetup.com/cuddle-party-east-bay/events/312246896/

  • Not sure why the negativity.

It has been brought up before, sometimes in a sketchy or arrogant way. I think you brought it up in a kind and respectful way, @consciousseeker.

There are Pro's who accept sponsored cuddles to pay forward to other clients in need.

There are group cuddles run by Pro's who will not turn away anyone due to lack of funds. They can accept sponsorships as well, but that's a bonus...those in need will be included, regardless.

The issue with the concept, generally, is it can be extremely difficult for anyone to know if someone is actually in need, or if a sponsored cuddle is truly given to someone after payment. Unless you know both the Pro and the client, in person, I honestly wouldn't touch this idea with a ten-foot stick. There is too much room for people to be taken advantage of.

  • @consciousseeker No one was being negative. It was just your first draft of your initial was well, very confusing, meandering and unfocused. That was what everyone was referring to initially. Rewriting for clarity cleared it up.

  • @TheFunCartel - agreed. Message was unfocussed.

@SunsetSnuggles - Good thoughts. If I have power to make any enhancements, then probably a dedicated page for seekers/sponsors. But you are right - too much room for people to be taken advantage of. It can be too overwhelming and out of control in no time.

  • So basically a GoFundMe for cuddlers?

  • Anyone wants to buy girlscout cookies…? 😊

Jk jk but foreals if you do then hit me up!

But I think sponsoring other’s cuddling sessions would be a very KIND gesture.

  • I have seen this multiple times and actually been a part of it as well.

When someone has a desire to help others I never want to see that go by the wayside.

Working together with Pros in your area (or pros outside of your area) who are willing to help navigate is a great way to start.

I have heard of donations given to pros and offered to clients who are in need.

Just off the top of my head, @justjennn @Hugginghealer @RedFox16 @Mela_B @Bella_Sera @poetictruths have all been a part of something beautiful whilst keeping the donation anonymous.

Trustworthy pros have thousands of people they are serving and typically know other people who need it as well.

I applaud your enthusiasm and intentionality surrounding helping others. 😊☀️✨

@consciousseeker I see you out there.

  • Thanks for the tag @sillysassy!

Just this past weekend, I facilitated a Community Cuddle and someone couldn't afford the ticket. They were welcomed and allowed to cuddle, mostly due to the fact that I trust the universe provides, sometimes in the form of other people sponsoring those tickets OR a few people tipping me during private sessions. It all works for the benefit of humankind. @consciousseeker Thank you for wanting to contribute and make a difference here in the community!

  • As a Pro, I agree with @sillysassy and @justjennn and I would absolutely do this! I think it makes more sense as a small scale option. If you connect with a trustworthy Pro and coordinate that way it could be really beneficial! Larger scale would get complicated and be a little more difficult to organize and keep authentic.

But I have certainly gotten messages and communicated with lovely people who don't always have the resources and if someone donated, I could find helpful places to direct that kindness 😊

  • @sillysassy @justjennn @AlyLauren ..Happy to hear all your thoughts and happy to know there is some proven way to accomplish this (of course in a small scale though)

  • I had a regular client who used to sponsor basically one free session a week... he would just pay me extra and I'd pay it forward to a different financially strapped client each week :)

  • As a pro I would like to participate in something like this. I do host a meetup group in my city and regular low to no cost group cuddle events. I’m trying to spread the word about cuddling in my area which can be pretty conservative. I’m designing and leading a touch seminar in my city at my yoga studio and getting into teaching partner yoga which is very touch and consent centered. Sorry I realize this post is very “I” centered but I’m thinking out loud about ways more peeps can have touch in their lives without breaking the bank.

  • @VitaminJ It is a wonderful initiative. Lots of power to you.

pros set their own price period. This is not the place to discuss it. -Stormy

  • I guess if I was to donate money to help someone get a treatment that they need, I would help someone get cancer treatments for themselves or their child first. Everyone has their own priorities.
