Just block them. Why the effort in replying?
I like to write, I'm deleting all social media so some of my soapboxes are gone, it's entertaining
my friend once said "your life is performance art" and I feel that in my soul
That was a very interesting read 🤣 I definitely feel the part about growing food with your friends and swimming in a lake though.
Ladies, if you swim in a lake don’t talk to Chad.
I know most won’t get my reference, but those who do will appreciate it.
I'm not sure I understand the contempt for capitalism or how it's stopping anyone from growing their own food or swimming in a lake with their friends.
It's an economic model that has greatly elevated the quality of all of our lives.
You're level of participation in this economic model is entirely up to you. Indeed, there are critical industries that are "grinding," but you have the freedom to not participate in those.
Every Pro on here is a capitalist. I assume most engage in this endeavor because they find it to be rewarding in some way.
The notion (that participation in capitalism is optional) is ridiculous.
I'm not sure I understand the contempt for capitalism
No one asked you to understand because your understanding of her opinion is not required nor invited.
Yes 💯.
If you ignore the collateral damage and destruction it has done as well.
@theHugAlchemist Just curious, what were they trying to sell you?
I agree with the sentiments expressed in the letter.
But, as a technical matter, replying is probably the worst thing you can do. All it does is confirm that your email address is good for further spam.
...nor invited.
Posting on a discussion forum is, in itself, inviting discussion.
@RadiantHugs Good point about the spam list, but I still admire her convictions. Pretty ironic that technological marketing blunts dissenting opinions because by replying you multiply that which you dissent against.
@FunCartel I once had an “email marketing consultant” tell me that if I got an unsubscribe email, the program would remove them from the list, but it would give me a list of the emails which were unsubscribed. So far, all good, that’s exactly what happens. But then what he suggested was the kicker - that I could just create another email list with a different purpose and add those emails to that list - so the information wasn’t wasted. Of course, I did not take home any advice from that guys seminar.
Sent this reply to a pushy solar panel salesman. didn't get any more calls/emails from them after this email.
