I wasn't very familiar with his work, other than the film Varsity Blues. And just today I learned that he and his wife, Kimberly, reside right here in Austin, Texas.
I feel so sorry for their children.
Not familiar with anything of his, but it's always crushing to see a family lose their dad. Hopefully his wife has a strong support system surrounding her.

@SunsetSnuggles he is the main actor from Dawson's creek back in the day and rules of attraction
Ah Dawson creek that first year was magic and the high school years as well. Once they went away to college I stopped watching. He was great playing a fictional version of himself on the show “Don’t trust the B in Apt 23” if you can find it watch it. RIP James! Gone too young. That theme song by Paula Cole is iconic in the pantheon of tv theme shows
Always awful to see someone lose a battle with that dreaded demon, cancer. May be rest in peace.
I recorded EVERY episode of season 1 LIVE on VHS (while I was watching it! I paused the recording for commercials)!!!
@TxTom ...you should also check out his movie, The Rules of Attraction. That's definitely right up there with Varsity Blues
Colorectal cancer is best treated when detected early. I'm in the age group and risk factor, cologuard is not invasive at all and won't cost me a penny. Going to order one for the peace of mind.
Early detection is the key. For james, it was already in stage 3 when it was detected.
This one hit me hard since I actually had colon cancer. Also, Brad Arnold passed recently, his wasn’t colon cancer but was still cancer.
Rules of Attraction was a great movie, but a little dark
