It's Curious...

Someone drew my attention to the enormity of things just a while ago, it makes me think about life, living, and perspectives. It's curious that we as humans still know so little about how the world works. Why more terminal diagnoses are being discovered? How after millions of years, hundreds of years of population; new insects, amphibians, reptiles, and plants are being discovered. How the human eye can be so beautiful?

We are surrounded by mystery and wonder. So what are you curious about?

  • I'm curious about how between the sexes men snore so much more than women? I haven't been around hundreds of men sleeping but I've been around dozen's and I find that compared to the times we women sleep in the same area that there just aren't that many women who snore. It seems to be a Y-chromosome thing.

I'm curious about what motivates different people. We all have reasons for the things we do but they're very seldom the same from person to person.

The thing I'm most curious about is where do all my mismatched socks go. I have at least 20 socks with no matching one! Is there some parallel sock universe that they all transition to?

  • Sock gnomes

Try the pipe in your washing machine - that's where all of mine end up, at least.

My socks seems to escape thru the dryer

I m curious why some farts are quiet , and others are noisy

  • @snughugs and @cuddlerforu24 - there is no pipe in my washing machine, only dozens of small drain holes through which a sock could not pass, and I never put socks in the dryer; they are hung up to dry. Next theory?

  • A vampire bat was flying by and took one to hang up in his cave .

A Sasquatch walked by your cloths line , and thought one would work as a big toe warmer......

  • Yes. One third to one fifth! Thanks @snughugs.

@cuddlerforu24 - my curiosity also! I have some very interesting theories on fart amplifaction... ?

  • Sock gnomes may actually be the answer.

If you don't put them in a dryer, and there is no nefarious pipe in the washing machine it's really the only answer isn't it?! Those gnomes are preparing for winter and creating lovely rugs and comforters out of your socks!

...you haven't seen three or more little kittens wandering around the clothesline have you? ?

I wonder why the Flinstones celebrate Christmas.

I'm curious why the now banned @SacralHeart777 called me a female.

Just like "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop", the world may never know.

  • hate to burst the bliss shared by all but he's not banned, he's banned from the forums!! click on him, I dare ya! lol

  • @PaulaDahla SacralHeart777 was investigated and found to have instigated a fight with another member in private messages followed by taking a screenshot of only the response to his message to share in the forums, pretending he was the victim. He was initially banned in only the forums but is now banned from the rest of the website as well.

Jim Henson had a prodigy understudy who was banned from his Studios for lazy workmanship. After carefully plotting his revenge for many minutes, he decided to start his own sock puppet Army. He is known to stalk laundromats on Saturday afternoons, but during the week he burgles unsuspecting homeowners. He only takes specific socks, one from a pair, because Jim Henson taught him that every puppet must have its unique personality. He was only discovered once in the early 80s by Lars Ulrich. However even after exposing him to infamy with Metallica's Master of Puppets album, he disappeared back into the Shadows of the Underground. But mind you his presence is felt every time your pair comes up a foot short. Beware the Sock King.

  • That is so delightful!! I'd enjoy living in your world for a bit.

    Thanks @creedhands

I am curious about almost everything. Learning new things is one of my favourite things to do. I've recently been learning about ancient life and cancer mostly. Oh and looking to learn calculus properly...as in have a good understanding of everything and not just memorise the motions.

  • @chococuddles Utilizing the scientific method, I have discovered that it takes 564 licks to get to the tootsie roll center of a Tootsie Pop, and 652 licks to uncover the whole thing.

When you pour a glass of soda, why do lots of bubbles stick to the sides of the glass and not rise all the way up? Why do some hairs on your body keep growing longer and yet other hairs just grow to a certain length and then stop. I'm constantly noticing and wondering about things like that.

  • @UKGuy At the risk of offering too much information, there is a hair that pops up a few times a year near the tip of my nose. It is straight and thicker than all others. Once removed, it is gone for months, but on the day it returns, it is over 1/2 inch long. Curious

@EarthlyAngel003 Thank you for your dedication! ^_^

@mickcuddle Harry had the mark, you have the hair. Yer a whizzerd! (please don't turn me into a frog)

  • Your socks might be in Hogwarts. One time our dryer broke and a spider of Harry Potter proportions came through the vent

  • @chococuddles buddy, you’re already a prince. The frog was a past- life.

  • I’m curious as to how much frequencies influence us everyday and if there’s ever really a time where it’s not on play.

  • frequencies? What type? Frequencies of various kinds play a huge role in our lives but it depends how you look at it and what exactly you mean.

I am curious about how beautiful our world would be if everyone saw the beauty in everything!!!

  • I think there are too many to count and the number would be different daily. I would say it’s automatic and constant.

  • Why do some of those bubbles stick to the side? Is the glass not completely clean so they stick on gunk? Are some stickier than the others so they just stay where they form? Do they all want to stay on the side but the bubbles below are vying for position also and push the top ones out of the way??
    That is curious! ?
