Foot Rubs - Inappropriate suggestion

edited March 18 in General

Is it ok to put in my profile that I like to give and get foot massages?

    .

  • No.

And it's not appropriate to mention while messaging, or in person.

    From the Terms & Conditions:
When communicating with another member, you agree to never indicate a desire to cuddle while doing any of the following: (1) being nude, (2) wearing only underwear, (3) kissing, (4) groping, (5) satisfying a fetish or kink, and (6) anything of a non-platonic nature.

There are plenty of websites and communities where such a thing is wholly welcome. Go there.

I don't agree with @CuddleDuncan that liking foot.rubs is in and of itself a fetish. I get pedis often and some of my cuddle friends love a good foot rub, and I'll fight anybody who wants to say they are feeding a fetish for it. So I take that kind of ridgid thought process and hypervigilance with a grain salt.

That being said, you've asked this same question on two different threads now, each time it has been answered as being that if that is something you are adamant about making known about yourself, then it might be a red flag, or somewhere on the reddish adjacent spectrum. I wanna give you the benefit of the doubt, but it's not really a good look.

  • I think it’s fine

  • I don't think foot rubs are in and of themselves a fetish at all. I like a good food rub myself, I think a lot of people do, and there isn't the slightest tinge of fetish about it. But bringing it up front and centre on a site which is clearly not intended for it .... well, I too like to give people the benefit of the doubt but I'm struggling to find any doubt.

The subtext is that Cuddle Comfort is under continuous attack from multiple directions from parties trying to convert it to a non-platonic site, or trying to demonstrate that it is a non-platonic site. As a consequence the site has to be both squeakly clean and also seen to be squeaky clean.

  • @Bohemianguy - @CuddleDuncan has many excellent points above.

While foot massages can happen during a session with mutual consent from both parties, it should not be the main focus of your session, and even bringing it up as a "need" or interest in your pre-session communications raises red flags about fetish related activity.

We definitely consider it a major red flag. Putting definitions and labels aside, that position comes from experience in seeing the usual eventual outcomes of those accounts in the context of this website.

  • Yeah I would not mention feet anywhere. Even if one has the purest of intentions, it has been ruined by an unfathomable amount of people that fetishize it.

  • Thanks to all of you for your input, that's why I posted this question because it seemed like a gray area to me. But I totally understand. Understand. If even some people think it's a a fetish or a red flag then I'm not going to do it. Thanks again everyone!

  • I have post chemo neuropathy. Half the time, I can barely feel my feet. It’s gotten quite a bit better after several acupuncture sessions. I do foot exercises daily and I often massage my own feet to get the blood flowing. I would love to incorporate foot massage into my cuddle sessions because my neuropathy is quite debilitating at times and foot massages help immensely. I say all of this not because I have a fetish but because I have an actual real medical condition. All of that being said, I have never and never will ask for a foot massage from a cuddle buddy not because it’s viewed by some as a fetish but more so because most women are not gonna want to massage big man feet 🤣

  • To give some female input, I see it as a yellow/red flag if giving foot massages is on a guy's profile.

I have declined every offer and request to give me foot rubs by cuddlers, because I don't want to risk engaging that fetish with a ten-foot pole.

To me, foot massages don't fall under the umbrella of "cuddling". Even removing the potential kink aspect, it's just a very personal thing... I don't want cuddlers touching my bare feet, and I absolutely don't want to touch theirs - guy or girl. 😂

    @Morpheus
Your example is where the topic wouldn't be a yellow flag (given that I believed/trusted the person), but in my case it wouldn't matter, since I still don't want to give or receive foot-related touch with cuddlers.

  • Is it a red flag if a female has bare feet in one of her profile pics? What if it’s a pic of just her feet?

  • @Morpheus
Report it and it will be removed.

  • @Morpheus
First depends on context...often yes, red flag. Second, always a red flag.
