From Boo Radley to Tom Hagen and Lt. Col Kilgore to Gus McCrae he was one of the greats.
Here here … one of the greats. he will be missed.
A brilliant versatile actor, Tom Hagen was a fascinating character which Duvall played to perfection. RIP
He will always be Ned Pepper in True Grit, for me... Sad loss.

Sad because he was in Falling Down, one of my favorite movies that I like to watch on longer cuddle sessions.
I loved him as an actor, one of the best in the business. He will be missed.
He was in so many roles, and so very talented. Very first movie appearance that I remember seeing him in was MASH as Frank Burns (the movie, not the TV series). I know that we all have to check out at some point, but some losses are deeper than others ...
