Is there any way to do it? That would be great because I don’t want to receive any more messages from people who think I want to cuddle someone I’ve never even seen the face of.
How are you going to filter out people who have a photo but its just a tree in the forest or a sunset? Why not just ask these people for a photo, or is that too much trouble? Most people who don't have a photo, don't have one for a good reason. They will send one to you if you ask. The reasons why some people don't post photos has been covered in some depth in previous discussions.
Unfortunately there isn't for incoming messages. You will just have to develop your own funnel.
There is a wonderful set of frequently asked questions @respectful keeps updated that will help with some of the newbie questions you have. I find it under contact us, then the more detailed faq's link. @respectful, would you put a more direct route to the questions on here if you can?
All of us women develop our own filters to help us at the beginning, I've been on here less than a month myself. If you can ride out the initial rush of attention you will find this is a great site that is more about friendship and encouragement than any others.
You have a beautiful picture up and that will draw many to you. It's the way it is here since women are the minority. This is one reason I don't put a picture up, friends see me, public doesn't. One filter myself and other women use is state you will only respond to messages that show they've read your profile message. Or maybe list in your profile that you will not respond to first messages asking your availability. Like respectful states, those are good ways to determine if he's taken the time to read about you or if he's just there for looks. But there are both men and women on here who send pictures upon request since cuddling shouldn't be based upon looks so much as personality or comfort level, so don't discount members based only on the fact there is no profile picture please!
Of the first day messages I received only one is still on my contacts, a favorite actually, because his first message to me was about the tv show I liked. We've become close now, even though at the time he didn't know what I looked like, we talked and developed a relationship. Intially he would've been filtered out. Griz, you're awesome.
I for one am glad you found the forums, they are invaluable to members who are serious about cuddling. The category under professional cuddle has some great threads for newbies.
Feel free to reach out to professionals also if you'd like, they are always willing to answer questions. This is a passion for most of them and they want to see it become mainstream.
Welcome @katehugson, don't feel pressured by the amount of messages you're receiving, this is supposed to be fun & relaxing not stressful. I've found from experience that if you ignore them they will just keep trying. So it's alright to filter! I personally send short replies to ones that are possibilities stating I'm already talking to 2 possibles at the moment and I'll save their note for later.
Oh and one last bit, I've found from experience it's best to keep ALL communication on here until you are comfortable with the possible public meet. Don't give out phone number or social media links right away, I'm sure you can imagine why.
Sorry, I tend to be wordy!
See the wonder Paula
Wow thanks so much Paula for the lovely response. Yeah If someone messaged me with no pic and it wasn’t immediately asking me to cuddle on the first sentence then I would engage and ask for a pic but many of them are just so forward as well as not having a pic. Last one with no profile pic I received as a first message said “hi! you available for overnights?” Would be great not to have to see such messages from someone who doesn’t even show his face.
So I will use those filtering methods you mentioned cheers!
I have also encountered someone when I signed up initially on a different account who used a fake profile pic (that looked similar to him) and only told me it was just before I met him so having a profile pic isn’t always honest as I found out the first and only meet up I went on!
I don’t have a profile pic but I always send a couple of pics with my first contact message. By this rationale the OP would be missing out on my message even though I am sending pics along with it which is one the best features of the site, so if you don’t want to have a profile pic you can send one right away attached to any communication.
I think that’s what I will do cuddleversed. I just removed my pic and I will be the one to message who I fancy cuddling and attach my pics. I certainly won’t be bothered by many messages once I remove my own pic
