  International Women’s Day isn’t just a celebration, but a moment to look honestly at the realities women still face around the world!

  Globally, 1 in 3 women will experience physical or sexual violence in her lifetime, most often from someone she knows. Every year, around 50,000 women and girls are killed by a partner or family member, meaning a woman is murdered roughly every ten minutes somewhere in the world.

  Beyond violence, inequality shows up in quieter ways too. Women do over 75% of the world’s unpaid care work—raising children, caring for family members, and holding communities together, AND women still earn about 20% less than men globally.

  International Women’s Day matters because these numbers represent real lives. It’s a day to recognize how far women have come, while also acknowledging that safety, equality, and dignity are still not guaranteed for millions of women and girls. The greatest way we can reach gender equality is education! We'd have much less women dying giving birth, and able to family plan with a secondary education.

  To not have to be spoken for, to speak for myself, because while I'm sure that you have good intentions, but I wish to say things how I wish to say it, and not have it be dismissed as me just being angry or crazy.

  If I say I wanna rip someone's head off, I don't want to be silenced and told I'm insane, because we are all insane.
