Phone Numbers

Hi! Curious for some feedback since I've only had a few cuddles so far...
When do you exchange phone numbers for off site contact?
I personally don't give my number until we've finalized a session but I recently encountered someone who turned hostile when I didn't provide mine when requested. For context, the gentleman was inquiring about a date over 2 weeks away. The only time I did give my number before we confirmed a booking, he just wanted to see if I would be comfortable doing more than Platonic Cuddling so I had him blocked.
Was i rude to assume this person was asking for my number to do the same?

  • No, you were probably right. People being angry about a perfectly reasonable thing is a classic sign of a bullet dodged.

Please Report anybody who suggests non-platonic activity. Should you encounter that or other problems during a conversation on another app, it's very helpful for us if you attach screenshots to your Report.

As you know it's not permitted to give contact details until a Booking has been opened and accepted. It is recommended to keep conversation on the site as much as possible, partly because it reduces the risk of inappropriate behaviour and partly because it's easier for us Moderators to do something about it if there is.

My personal view is that there is absolutely no need to exchange numbers until the day before or the day of, and even then only to allow for easy comms if something goes wrong at the last minute.

    💯 what @CuddleDuncan says above.
Most of us have learned the hard way that it’s best to never give out our personal number.
I use a google voice # and a nickname for all online activity, and my WhatsApp account is set up using that number. I only use WhatsApp for a brief video call for verification, vetting the cuddler for safety reasons and identification. There is absolutely no need for long texting engagement IMO as a Pro. We are providing a service, not really trying to be BFFs. Do what’s comfortable for you and definitely report anything non-platonic. Then block.

  • I don’t give it out at all. It’s not necessary. After seven years of doing this, almost every time I give my number out, they immediately ask inappropriate crap. Or send a dick pic… once you figure day time and place, why would a phone number be necessary. Wait and you will meet. If they can’t respect that boundary, the very first boundary you set, what else are they going to disrespect?
