How are "banned" Pros still "Online x hours ago"

This is more of a technical question, I guess. When I'm in the Favorites tab and there's Pros who were banned in the list, it often shows them "Online (few) hours ago", even though they were banned days or even weeks prior. How is this possible?

Also, a banned cuddler, whose contact I already had, mentioned to me over texts even though her profile is showing as banned, since it's an old account she was not permanently banned, but rather suspended for 30 days, and will be reinstated in good standing after the time period. Is that accurate?

    I would love for an admin to answer this question. A scammer that used (uses?) this site was "banned" a few weeks ago and just showed that she was active approx 21 hours ago. What gives CC admins!?

    If you have a member on your favorites and they are banned, it will still show their profile pic (if they had one) and it will still show when they were last online before they were banned. So if a member was online a few hours before they were banned, if they are on your favorites, they were forever show as being online a few hours ago.

    Edit: I think I’m incorrect on the above. I have a couple members on my favorites that were banned and it shows them last online quite awhile back so I take back what I said about forever showing online a few hours ago.

    When an account is banned, they can only see a page that allows them to submit an appeal. They do not have access to any other portion of the site. If an appeal is responded to, they can then continue to communicate via the ticket that is created. Once the appeal ticket is closed, they revert back to only being able to see the page that contains their appeal.

    So they could continue to visit the site to check if they received a response to their appeal, but that’s all they can do. They lose access to their profile/message/forums/etc.

    Thanks for the explanation. So she must be checking the site from time to time regarding her appeal. And is it true that Pros with tenure are given a suspension rather than permanent ban, and if so why doesn't it show as "Timeout" rather than "Banned" during this suspension period?

    If a pro is suspended, it’s usually due to a payment issue where the site is unable to collect the site fee. They may choose to remain in this suspended state until the funds become available to restore their account (this is an automated process). Tenure would not be a factor in that case.

    A pro may be placed in timeout instead of being banned as a less severe form of punishment, depending on what they were reported for. There are many reasons they could get placed in timeout, such as sharing contact info without a booking, misreporting session length, etc. If they have been warned and continue to violate the rules, a timeout could be issued, and tenure could possibly be taken into consideration depending on the issue and how credible the report seems.

    Edit: Suspensions do not show as a timeout or ban because those are forms of punishment, whereas a suspension simply means the site needs something from them in order for them to continue using the site. A suspension is not related to any site rules being broken.

    This is what one cuddler who currently shows up as Banned wrote. That's why I was wondering if bans are temporary based on tenure.

    @johntesston yes, because someone who was banned for breaking the rules and abusing the purpose of the site are clearly going to be honest about the why & how 🙄 (sarcasm)

    The site is terrible from a tech and moderate perspective. A pro body shamed me I reported it and literally nothing happened. No one reached out. This is the Wild West on every level

    @cobrapause44 Moderators do not routinely contact Reporters. False reports are not rare and it's difficult for us to act without evidence, which is one of the reasons why it's wise to keep correspondance on the site. The most common sanction is a Warning, which is not public. In other words if the professional was Warned, you wouldn't know.

    Adding to what Charliebear said above - When an account is suspended for billing issues, it is shown as "Paused" and the pro can restore their account immediately by updating their payment card details and submitting the past due booking fee(s).

    A pro being on a temporary suspension unrelated to billing issues will appear to others as "timeout" or "banned" depending on where you look for the info, since the timeout feature was quickly programmed using the same parameters of an account that has been banned. Not all instances of "banned" were changed to "timeout".
