edited March 23 in Pro Ads

Hey everyone ๐Ÿ’•
Iโ€™m thinking about putting together a cozy cuddle lovers meet-up + wine & paint night in East Orlando, possibly at Catrina's Mexican Fusion (they have amazing food + happy hour ๐Ÿ‘€)
The vibe would be: ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Relaxed
๐ŸŽจ Painting together (guided or freestyle)
๐Ÿท Drinks + food available
This will be a respectful, safe spaceโ€”clear communication and boundaries always come first.
๐Ÿ’ต Cost: TBA
โœจ Limited spots available (keeping it small & intentional)
If youโ€™d be interested, comment or DM me so I can start organizing and lock in details ๐Ÿ’ซ

  • I could possibly attend depending on the date and time.

  • What dates and time typically works for you?

  • FYI: It's against forum rules to advertise an event that has a fee.

  • Also of note: most consent-based events do not allow alcohol or other mind-altering substances. It becomes a slippery slope as far as consent is concerned if people are not sober. Not to mention a huge liability issue for the host. Best practice in just about any consent modality is for all participants to remain sober for the duration.

I have never been to a platonic cuddling event that allowed alcohol, let alone built it in as part of the activities. I know when I host events, alcohol is explicitly not allowed.

  • It's not a cuddle event! It would be a painting event, with like minded people to connect!

@marsmallow The annual Denver meet and greet and cuddle workshops are held right next to a bar in the same open area, so itโ€™s been done before without incident.

  • @TheFunCartel there's a big difference between participants being able to partake outside of the event, and having alcohol be a featured part of the event.

The tables were right next to the bar in the hotel and there were a few people imbibing. No one was drunk or out of hand. Alcohol was a part of it and no one said a thing because there was no thing to make a fuss about. Some people drank and some did notโ€”not a big deal. There were 30 or 40 people at the event and it was a blast for everyone.

I'm not following what the issue is? It's not a cuddlying first event! It's a networking event, for the community - the activity is painting hence why they're is alcohol?

  • Correct me if Iโ€™m wrong, but from what Iโ€™m gathering, the alcohol is being served at the bar of the venue this is taking place at and those who want to get it can on their own dime. In other words, itโ€™s not being passed out to people who go.
