I didn't know it was possible for someone who got banned to get unbanned from this site
Yup . There is at least one regular poster on the forums who has been banned at least once and convinced admin to let him back in
Sometimes a banning isn't something so egregious that it warrants a permanent ban (though the bans are set as permanent). I've known at least a couple cuddlers that were able to get another chance. Most of these offenses are stuff like sharing contact info without a booking in place (cheat the site out of their cut).
Sometimes the drivel is allowed to slither back in, for a time. 😝
A ban sounds permanent, but it can be contested, and as such, sometimes it's more like a timeout that gets reversed. So you will occasionally see someone banned and then back like nothing happened. It could be for many things besides the usual suspect of non-platonic activity. It might surprise you how many regulars here have been banned and had it reversed.

Unbanning is mechanically straightforward.
When somebody is banned they have one chance to appeal. Most don't. Most of those that do sound like the very old joke about the Irishman [insert your own nation's prejudice here] who was accused of damaging a library book: "First of all, yer honour, I never borrowed that book. Second of all it was already damaged when I got it. And what's more it was in perfect condition when I took it back."
But serious appeals are considered seriously, and occasionally bans - which are intended to be permanent - are reversed.
There have been people on the site who should have stayed banned but weren't. Some from back in the day before admin started using mods to help, and some after. It does happen where sometimes someone is banned who legitimately shouldn't have been and are allowed to come back in good faith. However that's not always the case.
It seems that the most common action that people who have been banned take is just create a new account, new username and it happens constantly and they might fly under the radar, maybe temporarily behave themselves and continue. It’s talked about in Reddit comments like it’s the easiest thing so no need to follow CC rules. Unless they get reported the 2nd/3rd/4th time they might go unnoticed. And they love to brag on other sites where they’re anonymous. One guy said he just deletes his account immediately after doing something (knowingly??) against TOS & before he gets reported because he knows the routine.
The Mods do an amazing job of catching some but as volunteers, they have limited ability to catch them all. The best we can do is report!
Yes, report what is against TOS And just a side note you don't have to be scared of being reported by a pro when you haven't done anything wrong 🤣 Yes, we make the site money but common man, don't be a scaredy 😹
I once was banned by mistake. They got the idea that I was a pro posing as an enthusiast. It was solved quickly since it was just a misunderstanding. I'm not a pro.
@Carrie_Anne I had that happen to me. In the video call before the cuddle, he did something VERY inappropriate. I went to report him as soon as I ended the call, and he had already blocked me. Clearly he knew the drill.
Moderator here. @Briblossom if somebody has Blocked you it does mean that you can't get onto their profile to Report them. However there are other ways to Report.
If you've had correspondance with them, go to the message thread and use the 3 dots menu at the bottom.
You could ask a friend to Report them on your behalf: be sure the Report is very clear about who is actually Reporting whom.
Report yourself, and again be very clear about what's what.
If all else fails, go to the Forum Rules & Your Moderators sticky topic at the top of the General board. The first post is kept updated with the list of Moderators. Check that your chosen Mod has logged on in the last day or two (sometimes people take breaks) and send them a message.
It's always helpful to attach evidence to a Report if you can. There's no need to include conversations on the forum - we can read them - but if the convo is on a messaging app it can be very helful for us to have screenshots. If you don't have any physical evidence please Report anyway. Lots of Reports don't, for all kinds of reasons, and it doesn't prevent us from taking action.
(If the report is about a specific forum post then use the Flag feature at the top right of the post. It's a different reporting pathway and in general should not be used for anything other than forum matters, but better to bring something to our attention like this than not at all.)
If in doubt, Report. People not Reporting when we would have liked them to = common People Reporting stuff that isn't really worth a Mod's time = rare
Reports occasionally turn out to be misunderstandings or the like, and that's just normal life. But making a deliberately false or malicious Report will get you banned.
@CuddleDuncan - I believe the screen saying that you are blocked had an option to report them or leave karma.
