Getting shorted

edited March 30 in Pro Cuddling

How do you handle when they don’t pay the full amount -I have. This happen about 3 times now and once the person said well I had to get a hotel to host (never brought up prior) but other times I’ll be shorted 50/80 dollars and I do not know how to handle it

  • Report them, that’s theft.

Not good. First off, I am sorry this is happening to you. This is clearly someone trying to rip you off. You could include a disclaimer on your profile along with saying your pricing is not negotiable.

When meeting get the money upfront. That way you can walk out if they refuse to pay you fully.

I would also file a complaint on the website.

The hotel room, unless agreed upon differently, is on the client to pay for.

This must be so frustrating and I’m sorry this has happened to you!
It is up to you as the pro to be very clear in advance about what amount is to be paid to you for your cuddle service, beyond what they pay to a hotel. All terms must be made very clear and agreed to!
Collect payment before session starts and be sure you've received the right amount,
The transaction may feel uncomfortable but as a pro you’re an independent contractor and responsible for receiving payment.

  • You must be very clear with clients beforehand that hotel and other expenses are nothing to do with your fee for cuddling.

Always collect the fee at the start of the session, or before. If it's an online payment check that it has arrived and make sure you have accepted it. A payment that can be rescinded ..... isn't a payment yet.

If somebody turns up for a session and "hasn't brought enough cash" then it's up to you whether to abandon the session, accept the lesser amount, do a shorter session for the lesser amount, agree to wait while they go to the cashpoint, or continue the session on the understanding that the balance will be paid afterwards. If the client is new, and new to the site, and has little or no Karma, your chance of getting the later payment is small.

Client failing to pay the full amount upfront should normally be Reported, although of course if the situation is resolved amicably there is no need. If the situation is resolved, but you're not really all that happy about it, you can still Report.

Excellent advice as always from @Carrie_Anne.

  • I always take the money upfront and then go to the washroom with it so I can freshen up and count what they gave me. If it’s short, I come out and tell them. Every time, they’re like “oops my bad. Here ya go”
