Here’s a bangin’ song
I hated basically every aspect of this song, but the outfit colors are cute. Really wondering who the target audience is. 🤔 The kids choir sound says children, the Lolita dresses in schoolgirl patterns say adult men, the dance moves say tween girl... I'm so confused. 😄

Yeah, just seems like weird for the sake of being able to see who can be the most quirky. And canned weird and try hard quirky isn't my jam
This reminds me of a Kids Brazilian TV show I used to watch as a toddler/small child. Grew up to realize it was also meant for the male gaze which creeped me out.
@SunsetSnuggles I had the same reaction. Don't get me wrong, I like Cosplaying but I wouldn't want to mix it in the same environment kids are being entertained.
I’m living in the world of idol groups right now. It’s really very interesting to me. And my DIL is a designer for one of the biggest names worldwide. I was also reading about how the Chinese are trying to get a bigger piece of it (despite the government trying to prevent it) or shift it to their alternative idol groups. Anyway the culture around it for me in Seoul is really fun to see.
I would say only that they look cute.
@SunsetSnuggles in Japan, I would say adult men but they seem to be extremely popular as it’s very difficult to get tickets to see an idol group live - you have to enter into a lottery system and members of their fan clubs (yes, they have fan clubs) get priority.
@BellaAine - was it Xuxa? I vaguely remember that show. It reminded me of the Bozo Show except with a blonde Brazilian woman instead of a clown.
@Carrie_Anne yep I’ve started seeing Chinese idols pop up. Even Thailand now has an idol group scene.
@disneysamurai Have you made it to Japan yet? I know you talked about going… I won’t go on this trip but maybe Hong Kong! I hope you get to go!

@disneysamurai the video you posted of that group seemed geared towards children and fans of anime theme songs maybe?
Here’s one of the more popular groups who are known in Korea and the states geared for teens and above Niziu
Here’s XG they are all Japanese but sing in English and headlined the second stage at Coachella last year
The above video is from 3 years ago here’s their latest single. Definitely one of my favorite artists
@Carrie_Anne I’ve been once. A couple of my profile pictures are from when I went to Japan. I’d really love to go back.
@Ironman294 definitely like the first video. But a lot of idol group videos do seem like they’re geared towards anime fans/kids since they like to make them “kawaii”, like below
