    When the phrase "have a nice day" came to Britain (and it's a very un-British thing to say) the correct, formal response was said to be, "Thank you; I have other plans."

    The history of the phrase is interesting, it eventually gained popularity at least in US maybe in the 50s-60s.
    But I liked all the different acronyms that came from it like HAGS at the end of the school year.
    Then I start thinking of all the others that came in early days of texting. When my kids were young early 2000s one of my favorites POS (Parents Over Shoulder) eventually had so many other meanings.
