  • Its because I wasnt hugged enough as a child from my mother

  • Being single for many years, it's refreshing to have someone to wrap their arms around me. Plus, there's nothing like a woman's touch. Nothing more or less...

  • Honestly? Cuddling is like secondary, thirdary, fourthdary, etc. I wish more peeps knew or understood that this is a really cool site to just meet folks . Everyone is here for dif reasons but that is it for me .
Sometimes I think there is so much pressure to cuddle right away and for me it’s like ok , breathe , relax , chat and hey wanna connect in person sometime? Idk. 🤷. I sense sometimes peeps put all this self imposed pressures and anxiousness on themselves. Maybe I’m the odd one ☝️

  • I hate to break it to you @OhioMike but you are a cartoon. There is a lot less pressure on you.

    @OhioMike

If more people treated folks on here as people first and not a means to an activity, then there would likely be wayyyyy less people complaining about how nobody will cuddle with them or message them back.

  • I thought I wasn't allowed to enjoy myself cuddling and make money at the same time 🙃😉

  • Couldn't resist lol sorry. I have always been very very touch oriented and loved hugging

While I haven't been able to cuddle as much in my life, I like it because it's another level or way of being seen. To truly have space held for you is something that is so special. I'm so grateful when someone holds space for me with their time or words, as that's such a invaluable gift that someone is giving me, particularly as I struggle with depression. When I am able to receive physical touch (particularly via cuddling), it's a wonderful expression of being held/cared for right where you are in your life.

  • That's an excellent point, @sean2589 I'm sorry that you struggle with depression! I feel like more human beings struggle with depression and anxiety than we realize. It's incredibly difficult to be a person in this world. So I try to treat others with compassion and caring and an open mind ❤️ cuddling is one way to do that!

  • After two abusive relationships, I realized I was the part of the problem I kept choosing the same type of men and expecting them to be different. I needed touch, i needed to feel safe and know men can be safe, respectful and good men are out there and I’m lucky to say most of my cuddlers have taught me that. During my cuddling career I also went into psychotherapy, and I’m proud to say with my touch needs met I now make sound decisions in my dating life.

  • @SpicyNSweet Thank you very much for your kind and supportive words! It's been very rough for dealing with depression for about a decade and a half now. I agree with you that more human beings struggle with depression and anxiety than we realize. I often wish this world was so much lighter (as unreasonable as that may be), instead of what feels like constant heaviness. I'm right there with you when it comes to how you treat other people! That's one of the things that matters most because you never know just how much/what someone is carrying.

  • I was exiled from the kingdom of Care-A-Lot in a past life and want to heal my care bear stare. 🌈 ✨️💫

  • @pmvines yeppers theres a whole clan of us

  • @sean2589 that's exactly it. I've raised my kids to view others through a lens of compassion, always reminding them we all struggle, and we don't know what other people are going through. And with me leading by example, they hopefully act the same as they grow. It's made me feel extremely proud and teary when I've seen them give their time, energy, money, and love to to others in need. 🥹❤️

  • @SpicyNSweet I think that's truly wonderful that you've raised your kids like that! The fact that you lead by example as well amplifies that message even more to them. It makes complete sense that you're so proud, while it also brings tears to your eyes. It's a special thing to behold seeing that in your kids!

  • Love meeting new people and what better way then to cuddle with them!

Melts down barriers quick to share our stories.

Hey @pmvines , can you have @TheFunCartel as one of your first guests on your upcoming cuddle podcast? 😆

  • @OhioMike

You mean at the Cromwell ?

  • Hahahahah 😆. Formally known as the Cromwell !

  • Ok enough inside jokes we are already confusing enough 😂

  • Being an asexual, I find cuddling to be a nice alternative to any sexual activity I'll ever engage in.

  • @OhioMike @pmvines and so it begins! 🤣🤣🤣

  • @OhioMike The question wasn't what do you like about cuddle comfort, it was what do you like about cuddling. In that context, your answer makes no sense.

A @pmvines podcast? Is the studio well-ventilated? Or is it more like a Dutch oven?

@btc13 actually the question from the OP is “why do you like to cuddle ?” Not “what do you like about cuddling ?” But neither here nor there for me.

Just my take on the question. 🙋. If it needs flagged the moderators will delete my comments if necessary.

I did try to dm the op for more clarification etc but they are currently paused 👍

Anyways have a super week !

  • It doesn't need to come down, as it's not offensive in any way. I just found it akin to responding to a question on a message board for Beatles fans like "why do you like the Beatles?" with "meeting great like-minded people and making friends"

  • @OhioMike
Me too! Cuddling has brought the unexpected pleasure of just getting to meet people I never would have been had the opportunity to find.

I initially came to the site because I knew that contact like this would help my nervous system. Stressful work life. Stressful home life. And not enough safe cuddles.

But even when I’ve been frustrated with the site (and some less than savory users), I’ve come back for and stayed for the friends I’ve made here.
