Deposits are implemented by some of us for a reason and necessary at times. I agree with @Sunrise_Snuggle, @CharlieBear and others so I won't add what has already been said.
Since you’re active in the forums, you’ve probably seen her posts where she implied she didn’t know CC takes a 15% cut. Something that CC clearly states when signing up as a Pro. If she is active in the forums, she can obviously read basic intro info. Her prices aren’t low and her karma isn’t good, so what made you decide to book with her anyway. Was it her inexperience or something else that stood out to you? I'm left wondering who was trying to take advantage of who?
Moral of the Story: Never assume someone is naive based on how they allow you to persive them. Most importantly why would you go after someone you persive as extremely naive instead of professional.
@BellaAine Two reasons why I wanted to book a session with her. First of all, I like meeting new people. No matter how much you talk/text beforehand you honestly never know how a cuddle session will be. The unknown factor is intriguing/interesting/entertaining to me. Note: that doesn't mean I only cuddle with strangers. Second of all, she is fairly close by. I am in northernmost part of NJ and the vast majority cuddlers in my area are in NYC or are an hour plus away in the more densely populated Newark NJ area. Cuddling is expensive enough without having to pay travel feels on top of the cuddle fee.

Even if it were just an hour later, you can't assume the other person is ok with it. You still have to assume they're not available. Can a client ask a pro to reschedule a session an hour later and expect her to be available? Certainly not. He can ask, but he can't expect it.
I didn't mean to imply that at all. @SunsetSnuggles I've had plenty of sessions where last minute flexibility with the time was necessary on either side, because life happens. 🤷 Like I said, I've never asked for a deposit, but I can see both sides here in general. And as been mostly agreed upon, we aren't aware of exactly what went down here, since we weren't privy to it.
I never said you implied that. I was just pointing out that one hour is a big difference, and both parties need to agree on it.
Like recently, I asked a professional cuddler that I was seeing if it would be ok to push the session back by an hour, but if it wasn't ok I would honor the original time. And she said it wasn't ok, so I honored the original time. So even a reschedule of one hour needs to be agreed upon by both parties. It may not work for the client's schedule, and it may not work for the professional's schedule.
But I get your point that if both parties agreed on delaying the session by one hour, then there's probably no need to refund and resend the deposit.

I just want to give my two cents on deposits; I have cancelled appointments, asked to change work shifts, lost money I'm the process of cancelling shifts, let down family by not being able to attend events, purchased food/ drinks after asking what the cuddler would like for the upcoming cuddle session. Scrubbed my house clean, washed all blankets, cushions to smell fresh. Showered, shaved.... And then after all the preparation, a last minute cancellation. 😠. Deposit in advance, otherwise there is no reason not to flippantly cancel a session after a lot of work, effort and monetary loss has already taken place. 🤷
At some point we have to count on the behavior of others if we hope to get anything done but it’s best to manage expectations of online strangers. If something doesn’t work out, figure out what could’ve been done differently for next time.
She needs to get booted off she took advantage of you and that not right she makes it look bad on the rest of us . Thats not fair

And this is why these disputes shouldn't go in the forums. People don't bother reading the whole thread and jump to conclusions, and it becomes a witch hunt against one user or the other.
@maryjane4200510 if you'd read the previous comments, you'd have seen that mods are already involved and will act according to all the info available to them - which we do not have.
We can sympathize with a sucky experience without demonizing anyone.

The Pro just joined the site last month.. I have seen new people who have little or no karma that turned out to be nicer than some of those I’ve seen that had alot of karma…

The professional was banned for reasons unconnected to this topic.
I don't know whether the client's deposit was returned. But since I haven't heard that it was, I suspect that it wasn't.
