  • I hope I am understanding this topic correctly.

But my latest change in my well-being had to do with me relapsing into weed on my bday month and escaping to a magical hippie town in the mountains. I was so burned out from work and the pay-the-bills life, feeling like I would barely make inches while working so hard.

I was apprehensive to be going back to weed because for 20 years I abused it and it led me to health problems. But this time around, it gave me something amazing. One of the reasons I liked weed so much is it would cut off all the sideline thoughts and that taxed me so much. People living rent free in my head, me always going through scenarios in my head before I would do anything, and the constant overthinking took up so much time, energy--I was left drained.

Once I realized that, I tore down what I call all the scaffolding of my old way of thinking. Now I express myself without too much thought in what the other person would think, how they would react.

This changed so much fast. I am much more confident and have made a lot more connections. I love people, and the currency that brings me joy is not financial. It's networking and social currency.

  • What happened to 1-4? Also without context I don't understand what this means

  • 1-4 were failures so we start at 5 now.

  • I have had a very good week which included my birthday. It was wonderful to get so many messages from people in all circles of my life. It brought me in touch with my blessings of community and family.
I also met some other cuddlers last weekend.
It was a pleasure to be around other people who value this kind of connection.
When I feel really seen and appreciated it adds to my well-being.
    Thanks for the topic.

    @AMF Happy birthday!

I always say as I get older, the less I know. Which is a compliment. I didn't think about how amazing it feels to be seen when I was younger. Or to have others hold space. Or... how to hold space for myself.

There are people who don't care about their bday. I'm on the opposite end of that. It'a the one holiday for you. And while a lot of jobs would give it to you, I think our bday should be recognized as a free paid holiday.

The restaurants do it. More so, I'm glad you received community and harmony on this day.

  • Well I am proud to say that my colonoscopy last week was a success. So my physical plumbing well-being is good. And I bucked the system because they wanted me to deploy suppositories during the prep. I didn’t go that route but I do have regrets. I could have had fun pretending I was part of a liberation terrorist cell planting an orifice-specific bomb targeting a puppy mill. Viva Le Chiots!

I wrote this in my journal recently:

"Have you ever stroked your face affectionately like a lover and say you love yourself? why not? you are in a relationship with yourself, show yourself some love, make yourself feel good and cared for, wholesomeness is the essence of love, love is the essence of wholesomeness
we put love on a pedestal and value it only when its external
    such a weird thing"

"Reading this earlier imade me cringe a little bit, which is interesting... cringe away from fully accepting myself as I am and loving myself fully?... curious"

  • Have you ever stroked your face affectionately like a lover and say you love yourself? why not?

No but I have slapped my face like a betrayed lover to smack the smirk off my face.

  • As you wish.

  • My well-being was poor until recently. Droughts suck.
