Thoughts on an "Available Now" or same-day booking feature?

edited April 27 in General

I just sent a feature suggestion to the site admins and wanted to get the community's take on it.
The current setup works well for advanced scheduling, but it leaves a gap. Cancellations happen, leaving professionals and enthusiasts with unexpected open time. On the client side, someone might have a rough day and need a session that same night, rather than days in advance.
I suggested an "Available Now" or "Same-Day" section or toggle. It would clearly show clients who is actively open to last-minute bookings, saving time on both ends.
Would you use a feature like this? Curious to hear if others run into the same issue with sudden availability or same-day requests.

I think this is a great idea. I would love to see a same day booking.

  • Would be super useful.

  • I vote yes on this proposal too for several reasons including the OP's reasons:
    1. I've seen reviews where guys sadly were flaked on after booking a room and that sounds horrible... this feature would have benefited those guys and the pro who was available immediately that day.
    2. It would make things easier for someone who is travelling to book a session.
    3. It would make availability much clearer than posting a schedule in your bio.
    4. This would open the possibility of an "unavailable today" flag that could also be added so pros would not have to deactivate to step away.

Everyone is responsible for their own judgment… but I’d recommend against encouraging anyone to schedule a cuddle without taking time to vet and ensure safety and compatibility.

The amount of time is only one variable but an important one.

  • Great idea!

    @wilderdude , super indeed!

Last minute scheduling like this would most likely only work with already established and trusted clients. Nevertheless, the Pro could charge an extra fee for such last-minute bookings.

    Sounds promising... and vaguely familiar.

  • I think this is a great suggestion!

  • I'm usually a customer and happen to need the services based on how my day goes. Yes this would be phenomenal!

  • Or at least a calendar option of some kind, a few do a decent job of updating their profiles with dates and availability but most do not. Also sadly even with an available now/today feature it would still depend on that person to actually be checking their account.

  • I'd be surprised if any pros would be willing to do this. It would make it a lot easier for unscrupulous men to bypass the vetting which is an important part of pros staying safe. It might work for people who already have a good relationship with the pro, but then the feature wouldn't be needed.

  • The second I read this post, my reaction was that many women would not be in favor of scheduling same day cuddles. I pretty much never did. Way too much necessary screening is required for me at least.
Everyone here scheduling first time with someone really needs to do some vetting and not be impulsive because of a bad day. Just my opinion but I’m not alone in saying that. Just refer to all the threads here that complain about everything that went wrong and it’s often because they didn’t take enough time with screening. This isn’t DoorDash.

I'm with @IronicMaiden on this one. Same-day booking is already associated with problematic clients to such an extent that it's already considered a borderline red flag by most experienced professionals.

Professionals can already edit their profile to say something like AVAILABLE TODAY [date] at the top of their profile, and pretty much none do.

If there was going to be any monkeying with same-day bookings, I would be tempted to say ban them altogether.

On a more technical level, the site is run by a very small team. I don't know what their processes are, but I do know they will consider the questions, "How does this make the site more secure from crackers, spammers, previous blockees and fraudsters? How does this increase site revenue? And how does this improve the experience for enthusiast cuddlers?" If those questions can't be answered clearly and simply, I doubt they would even consider the question of, "How much is this all going to cost?"

Calculating the attractiveness of such a feature to the deposit-collecting scammer is left as an exercise for the reader.

I'm all for it. There's been more than a few times where I've ended up with an unexpected bounty of hours when other work, activities, or plans fall through.

During those instances I'll reach out to the more spontaneous variety on here and sometimes it works out, sometimes not, whether that be due to notifications, availability, interest, familiarity, what have you. But when it connects its win-win for both parties.

Having such a handy feature could be worthwhile for those who would like to use it. If that's not you then I guess you could go on your merry way around it as you would anyhoo.

  • As a client, I have definitely been in situations where I have found myself unexpectedly available and a same day cuddle option would have been nice.

How do I feel about my female cuddler friends doing this? I would want them to take all the safety precautions they need to and if same day bookings with new clients don’t feel right to them, they definitely shouldn’t do it.

Maybe there should be a certain criteria for clients that allows them to be same day clients such as tenur on the site and or karma ratings and or number of karma.

  • I found myself in situations where Pros have reached out to me and said they have had cancellations and want to book with me as a client.

Also I've had times where I just wanted cuddles that day because it was a bad day.

Obviously this would mainly be beneficial for established clients/cuddlers/pros.

  • Great idea! Would make it much easier to match pros and clients for same-day or last-minute sessions. Those that are not comfortable with the feature do not have to use it. I disagree with those above who assume the worst first and oppose changes due to potential bad actors.

  • Those that are not comfortable with the feature do not have to use it.

    Absolutely, @cozycuddler4you

I disagree with those above who assume the worst first and oppose changes...

    Naysayers abound.

  • my instinct is that it is a bad idea. some maybe can manage this feature but significant who will try it out and probably misfire. I can foresee several posters in the future complaining about cuddlers in discussion board not living up to expectation. would be headache for the mods.

There's already an option available that would satisfy both parties needs: just message the pros with whom you've already established a relationship.

While some pros may feel comfortable doing last minute bookings, most are only likely to do so with established clients. The risks of no-shows and safety issues due to rushed vetting are significantly higher with same day bookings - so much so that the only logical way to do them is by having already established that a client is both safe and reliable.

Any feature that fast-tracked bookings sound like a logistical nightmare for the site and pros. It makes far more sense for the people wanting short-notice cuddles to contact established connections directly. Pros with an unexpected opening can already contact their regulars to offer a slot. Clients wanting same day cuddles can already contact pros they've seen before to express interest.

  • I understand the skepticism, but I wouldn't mind seeing a 3-6 month trial as an option. I assume clients with profile images and karma would have an easier time booking.

  • @damienx64 I agree with this feature because the pro should have the option to turn on/off the available now feature. Some pros mention the need for a picture and 3-5 karma reviews, for unestablished clients the karma requirement for a particular pro could be required to be higher for them based upon their own comfort level. An available now option and perhaps a DMTY/FMTY (drive me to you or fly me to you) option might fit well together.

  • @damienx64 As a cuddler with a pretty full schedule, I actually think this would be a really helpful feature. I’m always finding / looking for ways to share my availability, and it takes consistent upkeep. Having a simple toggle something like “available now” or “same-day” would make that so much easier and clearer for everyone.

There are definitely times when I have unexpected openings & free time , and I feel like I might miss out on bookings because people assume same-day isn’t an option. Sometimes it really just comes down to timing and chemistry if the moment feels right, people are more open to booking, even last minute. And I think as an adults we should vet as we see fit

I also think it would be great not just for new clients, but for returning ones too. Someone might not have planned on cuddling that day, but if they see you’re available, it gives them the chance to reach out and enjoy that time together. Overall, I’d absolutely use a feature like this and would love to see it added.

This will also help when traveling to new areas which is something I do often

  • As a Pro I would say that some of my best snuggles sessions were last minute, same day snuggles. There are so many factors that go into curating a session as such..and every pro vets differently. But I would think this would be a beneficial addition! But that’s just me.
I know I’m fairly new here, however with my career training and development I think I’ve learned the necessary skills to quickly and effectively vet the cuddlers who are here for the right reason.
    Happy snuggling all💜

  • I’d dig this feature actually. Would be nice to have the ability to have a little check mark or something saying I’d be available that day. Sometimes I can accommodate same day and sometimes I can’t but I see no harm in having a feature that people can decide to use or not.
I would agree that I don’t think same day requests are inherently a red flag. I’ve also met some pretty amazing snugglers on short notice/same day when schedules happened to have aligned.

  • I agree with this as well!

Great option for people who travel especially. Almost like a "We're Open" sign at a storefront. Session open. This can allow both the client and pro to be more attentive at the right time since a lot of vetting is simply done via communication.

  • Yes my availability is last minute so this would help

Yes! I actually have found myself thinking on several occasions that it would be great if I could "advertise" my "real time" availability on the site somehow...

Many of my clients are same day or last minute ones. Since I am almost always available, I can easily accomodate them. All I ask for is at least a one hour advance notice so that I can prepare for the session however, when that is not ideal for the client, I am certainly willing to make exceptions 😊

  • I don’t agree with this. Optional or not, it pushes the platform toward an on-demand model, where professionals start being treated more like commodities than people with structured availability. That’s not something I’m interested in participating in. Personally, I’m never just “available.” The times I've accepted a same-day booking, it’s because I rearranged my entire schedule, not because I was sitting around waiting. I’m not on standby between commitments, and I think that distinction matters for how the platform treats and respects its Pros.

I would be more open to something on the client side where last-minute clients can indicate urgency, and then I can decide if I’m able to accommodate them. That keeps control and boundaries on my end without creating the expectation of constant availability.

    Just sharing my perspective.

  • @BellaAine

Interesting regarding clients ability to indicate urgency. The problem I foresee in that is that clients may just adopt that as their norm whereas I see pros using it for what it’s meant for.

  • @Morpheus Clients overusing urgency is manageable because I still choose whether to accept. An “available now” system, on the other hand, changes expectations around Pros being on demand. That’s the distinction for me. It also takes the pressure of men that feel bad messaging us last minute.

  • @BellaAine What is wrong with being available “on demand” if you actually are available? Sounds like requested functionality would be an “opt in” by pros, not default.
