@cuddlefaery This site is a constant of new people coming through. And yes, I get it, it gets tiring when you're a regular forum lurker to read the same things over and over.
There are silly posts over and over too.
There have been constant posts on people pushing boundaries. Should we say stop talking about this and lump it all together in one post?
People need heard.
And the community goes round and round.
The site isn't Minecraft. Folks can't go in and start adding and building things as they see fit. We can go in circles all day until we are blue in the face with hypotheticals but it doesn't change anything.
Maybe @mark and @gary can give their opinions , considering those are the only opinions that matter when it comes to changes to the site.
Okay, I get it.
I'm outie.
would you have a solution that could be helpful or is this site imperfectly perfect with the way it is?
I offered one possible solution with a toggle button for “Available In The Next 24 Hours”. But in my heart of hearts this isn’t really an issue. Many of the profiles already state they entertain same day bookings. Many explicitly state they are not available same day. The ones that are left you simply ask.
Now to be clear, I have had to look for same day because I travel constantly. People cancel at the last minute and you are left high and dry. My schedule is generally made out weeks ahead so last minute cancellations present a problem. So I understand the frustration, but I have always been able to find someone on short notice with little effort. However these last minute pros generally fall short and I question why I even bothered. Those on here that say they do last minute please understand this is not a reflection on you, only a reflection on my experiences—I haven’t cuddled any on here that say they do same day. But I had a pro that I have seen in the past legitimately cancel on me Sunday night and I found someone on short notice and I regretted it instantly. Her hygiene was less than I could accept and I am not leaving her karma as a result. (Cigarette breath/bad breath/had to use my shower before the session after arrival and still not so great bodily odor).
I just don’t see where a search would change much and it could create more problems than it solves. Pros who don’t offer same day may feel pressured to offer it just to keep and attract clients, thereby lowering their safety standards and protocols. But yes, it would benefit the predators. But inevitably it’s up to the individual pro.
@pmvines your comment is giving “I’m telling mom and dad” vibes. Chill. Nothing wrong with brainstorming ideas, regardless of implementation feasibility. If the topic doesn’t appeal to you, you can move to another thread.
@cozycuddler4you
Oh I find it very appealing . I'm rivetted. Thrilled and clinging to every word, including yours, my what a blessing and a treat. Now you too can carry on, and carry on knowing how much I am clamoring to your every word. And thank you for the instructions on how to use the forums my goodness I don't think I would have managed without it 🙄
@cozycuddler4you it's not tattling - it's tagging in the only people who actually could effect any change regarding this topic. They have a thread dedicated to site suggestions that they refer to when making updates - since this is outside of that thread, they would be unlikely to see or consider any of these suggestions. By tagging the site owners, @pmvines is actually the only person thus far trying to actually take action towards a solution.
@pmvines Hey, if you are riveted and clinging to my drivel I can e-mail you my unedited, unfiltered access to my bullshit if you are interested. This is a rare opportunity and friends and family will thank you for relieving them of having to hear it.
Thank you for seeing me @cuddlefaery
@TheFunCartel you mean I get to view the contents before they are published into a series of coffee table books ?
@pmvines Coffee table book???? I am moving up from circular file literature! Thanks for the positivity.
@TheFunCartel
Yup, there is room for your musings right next to the collection of unsolicited dick pics
@pmvines Consider me flattered with a circumcised smile.
We all use this site differently. Im not saying one way is right & one way is wrong. (Unlike some.) We are all human & unique, with individual lives with our own unique problems to work round.
A toggle button &/or keyword search would save many a lot of time. Myself for example, working away & having my children every weekend leaves very little free time indeed. Any free time is due to a last minute change of plans.
I also think an option to have who's near would be useful for many. Yes, I could change my location. However then, I may miss someone local seeing me.
@cuddlefaery - Ideating does not require implementation; inability (unwillingness?) to implement does not mean you can not ideate.
Sometimes collective brainstorming is fun on its on.
Riveting
@cozycuddler4you absolutely there is a place for open debate - when it serves a constructive purpose, such as exposing people to new ideas, changing minds on important issues, etc.
But what is the point of this particular debate if not to effect change? If it's purely to vent, that's all well and good. If it's to brainstorm without an end goal, also not bad if it's not causing problems in the process. But people wanting to take action isn't a bad thing, either. If the goal of this thread isn't to brainstorm actionable ideas, and the venting is only stirring up community contention that has been rehashed previously, then I'd argue either the topic has run its course or it should be nudged into a more constructive direction. And one potential constructive direction is to actually put the ideas discussed here in front of the eyes of those who can act upon it.
I don't see how opening the door to potential action is a bad thing in this situation. It doesn't change the discussion, doesn't negate the opinions already expressed.
Venting is great, but let's not make it seem more high brow or important than it actually is here. @mark and @gary are the only ones who are at liberty to do anything, so I summon thee for their input
@cuddlefaery Action is the ideal outcome. What I've heard (maybe incorrectly?) is that discussion should stop because others have previously discussed it, site owners previously said they will not implement, and further discussion without implementation will lead to overall dissatisfaction.
All I am trying to say is that discussion and debate can occur about hypotheticals. It doesn’t need to be “within the system we do have control over” (as you put it) to legitimize the topic.
Too bad the OP didn't attach a poll.
A poll on this same topic three years ago showed a slight lead for those favoring the idea.
