What has a cuddler done to surprise you in a good way?

edited April 28 in General

Could be an enthusiast, pro, or client. What did someone who you met up with from Cuddle Comfort do that was a pleasant surprise that you didn't expect?

Edit: I also don't want to limit it to just cuddles, as people can make friend connections here that can lead to different outings.

  • Bough me new house

  • I'm always pleasantly surprised when a cuddle partner proactively asks about boundaries, allergies/sensitivities, and communication preferences. The default for most folks is to assume I'll bring it up if I want to, so it's a nice change when the other person also uses direct and proactive communication. It shows forethought and empathy, which are always a big green flag.

  • Laughter.
Most of the time for me cuddles are calm, soothing and relaxing or quiet, which is wonderful in its own way, but there’s sometimes when I get along with a cuddle buddy so much where we start laughing/joking around and giggling at a movie or show or something and its sooo special, it’s almost healing to be able to bond with someone over humor and it’s always a nice surprise when that happens. Just feeling lighter after getting a good laugh. ☺️♥️

  • 😂😂😂😂@blue iris love that!

  • @wanacuddle85 Thank you. It's just one of my many public services!

  • Turns out my first cuddler was a credentialed therapist! Years later, I still visit her once or twice a year to cuddle, catch up and share stories! 😊

  • @EagleJoeB as someone working toward my LPC, which will evolve into a PhD with the goal of legitimizing this work in the eyes of the psych community, I love this!

  • One cuddler fed me dinner after the session.....one of the sweetest things anyone's done for me!

A cuddler made me enchiladas from scratch. So @OTKboy I totally get that! Amazing hospitality.

@BlueIris Thank you! I want this thread to be all about pleasant and safe experiences. Not ruined by any filth.

@trysdet Bought you a house is wild. Would love to know the story!

  • Brought fresh homemade cookies!

    Stopped texting me

I’ve had a couple no fee sessions and budding friendships from a couple cuddlers.

  • I flew to another city on business & had a cuddle session booked for the evening. The cuddler surprised me by picking me up from my meeting and driving me to my hotel. Once I got checked in, we went out for dinner .... all before the actual cuddle session.

  • Dessert! He brought a fancy yummy ice cream. Super sweet gesture. I love ice cream lol

  • (Not a humble brag!) but since you asked the question, I’ve been astonished (and humbled) at some of the karmas I’ve received. I mean I knew they were great cuddles but the write ups sometime really blow me away.

  • Met with me at 3am and was a total gentleman! Heck yes 🙌

  • I never realized how nice I was until a read my karmas. For the most part the pros have been very nice and even listen to my lame "life stories"...

I had a cuddler who brought me snacks, drinks, a nice card, a letter and a small gift on our second cuddle. I thanked her but I think I need to follow up with her to let her know how much it touched me. Thank you will not suffice as it came at a time that I needed a boost.

I needed the reminder of this small kindness.

  • someone gave me like 15 boxes of gluten free pasta since he worked at a pasta factory.

    awesome. yes.

otherwise I've been gifted edibles.. a case of 10 kombucha, a holographic card, a succulent, and many more very fun and unexpected gifts.
