I really love art so be g able to have permanent art on my body is awesome. I’ve also learned that getting tattoos or piercings on parts of my body I don’t like helps me like that part of me more
It's interesting. When people voluntarily participate in a public forum and bring incorrect, judgmental information, and then other participants point out that they are incorrect or being judgmental, it is viewed as the OP being 'attacked' or bullied. Being called out in a public forum you voluntarily participate in is not bullying. It's the natural consequence of being wrong in public. 🤷♀️
My take on this quotes Justice Potter Stewart ... "I know it when I see it". I know good art when I see it. My opinion of "good art" on the human body is of course my own subjective opinion. I've seen many examples of very good art in tattoos and piercings on people. I've also seen some that I consider poor art or bad art. I long ago gave up trying to understand the choices involved, and just enjoy the good art when I see it.
I'm sure plenty of folks on here would question my choices of art that are hanging up in my home and office.
While we're all being candidly honest here.... I've never liked the septum piercing. It reminds me of cows. 🤣 That said I know a lot of people, friends included, that have the piercing. I've cuddled with people that have the piercing. Just my opinion. Opinions are like assholes and everyone has one. It's an opinion that I rarely share. That said... it's art and I like to stay curious

@jamesDC .... it's just a study.....nothing more. Everything causes cancer these days....the ground, cell phones, etc. Thanks for sharing the link though, I enjoy reading different viewpoints. Since the Fountain of Youth has yet to be located, I definitely don't plan on staying around too long. 70 is an age I don't want to hit. To each their own, you know??
I have 3 very small tattoos and somehow I’ve managed to live quite a bit past 70. It’s a miracle!! lol And btw 70 sounds pretty young to me right now.

Can I assume tattooed bodies may make you a little uncomfortable, or that you might prefer not to cuddle with someone who has tattoos, or something of the sort? Totally fine if that’s not true. But if it is true:
There’s a component of this which you could call “opinion”: “what’s the deal with all these tattoos? I think they detract from natural beauty of the body, why are everyone’s bodies billboards” etc. This may be seen as an unfriendly series of questions. I’d say it’s a bit strange to just ask that in public. And the answer is probably kind of simple. Some enjoy them and think they look good, and some don’t. Maybe they’re “in fashion”, maybe taboos have been removed, etc.
And then there’s just the fact that you may have a subjective preference. I think “is it ok if I don’t like cuddling with people with tattoos? Is there a tactful, non-judgmental, and kind way to ask people whether they have tattoos, and where?” are good questions for this forum. (Can we change the question to this? It should probably be a separate topic I guess)
I think the op sort of leaned into the opinion part, and that’s what some responders took issue with. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I love the natural beauty and purity of the body (especially women), so I'm not a fan of tattoos. Though I admit some tattoos look kind of cool on some male fighters, so I guess I'm a sexist hypocrite.
Claiming tattoos make the body impure is pretty wild and comes across quite judgmental.
Fact: Tatoos make the body impure.. the body.. not the person… I may get a small tattoo. I’m a born again Christian , one of my pastors has many tatoos .. I don’t think having tatoos makes him “ impure” either. . The tatooing process traps blood under the skin., blood is an impure substance.. tatoos alter the body’s natural appearance.. I don’t believe @chocobunny was being judgemental.. he prefers women with no tatoos.. that’s ok.. the OP was already scared off and he was simply asking an honest question.. he was not being judgemental either.. tf 😩

Any time the term "impure" is applied to people, whether to their bodies, thoughts, actions, or personhood, it is inherently making a moral judgement. It is associating "pureness" with "rightness" and "impureness" with "wrongness". Let's not kid ourselves that the people who call others impure are talking from a biochemical perspective.
It doesn't matter if the intent of using that terminology is to convey a personal preference - it is still making a moral judgement. Again, just saying something is not judgemental doesn't make it so.

You're also arguing my point for me - that opinions are subjective and judging people by subjective opinion is making a moral judgement.
I find in most forums that @cuddlefaery comes off pretty biased in her viewpoints....to the point that if somebody's viewpoint doesn't align with her's, you're gonna burn in hell.
@Goonie4life I don't believe in hell, but I do believe people should say what they mean and that thinking critically about what we say is important.
