Another point, @Bear65 - not everyone only cuddles members of the opposite sex, and so they may not filter their searches by gender. If that is the case, they may not even know you are a man until they view your profile.
And FYI - gay men are known to cuddle women, and lesbians are known to cuddle men. Straight men can cuddle other men, and straight women can cuddle other women. It's supposed to be platonic - I highly doubt you only choose to be friends with women. Unless you're using cuddle as a euphemism for sexual activity, your sexuality won't dictate the gender of your cuddle partners. And if you are using it as a euphemism, I'll repeat that you're on the wrong site.
I'm part Neanderhal.
I found out by spitting in a little plastic tube and mailing it in.
It was so easy even a caveman Neanderthal could do it.
Happy Part Neanderthal Day... whenever that is...
Walk with pride, Tom!
Here’s my honest, bro it’s not that deep. The only time you should be concerned if they’re trynna meet up with you or propositioning sex. But I think you’re thinking too deep into it. 🤣🤣🤣
@Bear65 yeah, a substantial number of profile visitors to me are men. Happens often after I've left karma for a woman. The inappropriate visits are the guys who then message me asking things like "hey, is she extra affectionate?" or such.
But I suspect that the majority of such views are probably the result of "hey, this guy posted something interesting/odd/offensive/neat/brilliant/stupid in the forums - let me see what kind of person he is"
@Bear65 I wouldn’t waste another thought on it. It could literally be ANYTHING! I have people from overseas visit my page all the time! On more than on occasion, they’ve offered to pay for my flight out to cuddle them (🤣🤣😒). You very literally have to take everything here as a grain of sand (well, except the rules of platonic cuddling- THAT’S L-A-W)!
@cuddlefaery- He’s not completely wrong to be questioning this! I have cuddle buddies who’re no longer on this site because closet gay guys were contacting him for cuddles, then wanted to “explore” each others body more during a session. I agree it’s a bit soon to be suspicious, but definitely “be aware” @Bear65
I get bunches of visitors that are women. I don’t find that inappropriate. Usually after I have left karma for someone or vice versa or I’ve posted something in the forums. Or at times when I’ve done neither I assume I’m being featured in the home page or random cuddles around the world. Some people don’t even realizing filtering their search is a thing they can do.
I also click on female profiles when they’ve commented in the forums or when I’m reading karma they’ve left for someone new to me. Not because I’m territorial but because I’m trying to understand the person leaving the karma (pro or enthusiast, time on the site, etc). Sometimes I click on someone cause their name or pic seems interesting. Because I want to know where that town is. Or because my silly thumbs couldn’t figure out how to scroll properly.
It’s a platonic site so in theory none of the visits should ever be inappropriate regardless of their reason for visiting.
If they end up messaging inappropriately, whether it’s directed at you or at someone you’ve cuddled, you should report them.
Reasons I check out male pages:
Remember I cannot know anything about you until I check out your page. If you mention a location, I might be curious where that is. You talk about trouble with the site, I want to know how long you've been a member.
We’re just seeing who she’s cuddled before. And then looking to see who has left a karma for you, so that we can add them to the list of potential cuddlers in the future. Like Facebook Marketplace sellers and buyers
Ummm, how is viewing a page inappropriate? That's a pretty interesting overreaction. Inappropriate messages are a totally different thing.
I’m straight and I don’t cuddle with men either but cuddlecomfort to me isn’t just a place to find females to cuddle with, it’s a great community of people with a common bond. I state in my profile that I’m open to positive male friendships. That being said, most of the time I that click on a males profile is because something led me there like karma left on a females profile or a forum post. I don’t search for males and click on profiles I think are interesting. All of that being said, as others have said, the major contributing factor is probably your profile name.
@Bear65 you may be getting views from men who are looking for ideas on how to write or improve their own profiles. Or they might just think you look or sound like an interesting person. I've had men message me for recommendations in my area, or my thoughts on women I've met with, or even advice on cuddling for those new to it.
It could also be that "bear" is a slang term for a certain type of gay man, and they can't know until they visit your profile that their assumption is mistaken. As long as you aren't receiving inappropriate messages, I wouldn't worry about it.
@mauvefox I do the same thing as you. Sometimes cuddler's change their pics and you don't recognize them. So I may look again... and no, I'm not a freakin' stalker. lol Gotta remember there's probably a few thousand females on here...can't remember who's who? JMHO
I have also occasionally received profile visits from men who identify as gay as well
But not as much as you
It has got to be the name
I just visited his profile for the plot lol
It's the name, definitely. This is from Wikipedia: "A bear is a person who identifies with bear culture, an LGBTQ subculture. Bears are typically gay or bisexual men with a large build and/or body hair; some are overweight, but some are muscular."
I just visited his profile for the plot lol
Yeah I just did too. So inappropriate.
@JasonCuddles I'm appalled 🤣
I've been intentionally not viewing his profile - I don't want to encourage this sort of inappropriate fishing for attention 🙃
I’d appreciate if people from outside of my area with no interest in me would please visit my profile immediately. My therapist says it will help me with something. 😂
I’m fine with someone questioning my visit and asking about it in a message. Always happy to clarify….
Every Bear is looking for their Piglet.
Yea @Bear65 I just visited your profile. Your beard looks pretty bad ass.
I can recommend a nice eye serum @Bear65. Your eyes are a little puffy.
I also wore a mask while visiting your profile @Bear65 so as not to leave testosterone cooties.
lol I visited just now. I often visit when looking at forum posts to get an idea of who the poster is. Don't have any interest in cuddling you brah.
some kind of daddy hug
I hug everyone and I’m a Dad. Have I been dishing out Daddy hugs for the last 30 years? Wait, am I reading it wrong, is a hug from a Dad a Daddy hug or is there something more specific about it?
I have visited @Bear65 's profile. I did it after he mentioned on the forum that he couldn't find a snuggle-buddy. So, I was curious what might be off-putting, if anything, about his profile.
I also mis-click on people's profile frequently when trying to get to a forum post and click on the last commenters name as opposed to the forum thread.
I also "mis-click" on people's profile when their location seems like a city near me but instead turns out to be in a different state.
@123Cuddles321 I've accidentally clicked profiles many times 😂
