Hello so I was doing a search through the threads but I have yet to see any posts of people sharing pictures of any musical instruments they play/own. I thought it would be interesting to see. I have recently gotten a new bass guitar (Jackson JS Series JS3 RR-B IV Limited-Edition Electric Bass Guitar - Metallic Gray) and can't go more than a day without picking it up and attempting to play/learn something on it. I'm primarily a guitar player and singer, but am inspired to learn more about bass now with this. I have another really cheap bass guitar that I got for $60 and it definitely feels like the price so I didn't touch it much as it would hurt my hands (the action is too high for my liking for one). Anyway I feel like the bass is helping my guitar playing in various ways as well. I'll have to find pictures of my other instruments or take new ones, but for now here's the newest addition that I can't seem to put down for long:
Once it gets to be time to change strings I'll be putting on some neon green DR strings to make it pop. Plus I love how the coating feels on my fingers vs naked strings. Though I did try out a fretless bass at guitar center and those flat wound strings felt SOO nice and smooth. Slides would be a breeze.
8 string fretless Hanewinckel. I'm in the process of getting custom flatwound strings for it.
@snugglebob wow 8 strings! Do you find it any harder to find the same points where frets would normally be when playing and what about the wider neck and/or extra weight? that does seem pretty awesome to play though! does the range extend in both the high and low end?
Low F#0 to High F3. Wide neck a bit tough. Still adjusting to the real fret position instead of putting my fingers just behind the fret. It is tougher to play chords on a fretless, but I can play 10ths.
Gotta take some pictures when I get home tomorrow. For the longest time all I had was a bc rich bronze warlock that I had put emgs in. In 2001 got a mik epi les Paul. Love that guitar. 2003 got married, year later had a kid and started long haul trucking so very little playing/practicing.
During covid I got the itch except instead of practicing I just bought up a bunch of guitars and amps lol. Have so many now and can't really play all that well anymore. (Not that I was great in my prime, but I was serviceable).
I think I must have something like 8 guitars and just as many amps as well as a 5 string bass and bass amp.
That 8 string is insane, and fretless 🙇🏻
A Young Chang baby grand piano, a Conqueror acoustic guitar, and junior bongo drums.
My daughter can play piano, although still a relative beginner. I cannot play although I've committed to learning Silent Night by December.
I found some older pictures of two of my guitars. The black Ibanez RG7321 and natural finish Jackson Warrior JS32T. Still have to find pictures of two more instruments.
Here are 3 of my 14. A few others I have are a 1986 Kramer Focus 6, a 1962 Fender strat, and a bunch of neon guitars 'cause I'm a hair metal fan at heart.
For a while, I had a Dingwall NG3 when I was trying bass. After playing that for a while, it made my guitars feel like toys.
Also have a bunch of amps, but mostly play through a Quad Cortex these days.
Now we need some video of you guys rocking it out!

Recently started playing in community orchestras again and am having a blast. Music really is good for the soul. Trusty Briz 1000N French horn at the ready.
I dated a French horn player just after high school after we played in symphony together for 3 years. He was awesome 😂
I sadly don't have any pics of my cello - The Real Slim Shady. (I'm dating myself 😅) I need to do that after I get her repairs done. I sadly have neglected her since the pandemic and she needs some TLC.
I don't have it now as I have gifted the set to my niece but I played the drums when I was in school
