Straight man looking for female cuddlers in Bay Area

I'm new here and have been looking for people to potentially cuddle with. I'm straight, so I'm not entirely sure I'd be comfortable cuddling with men. Perhaps it's a combination of me not having anything on my public profile (including being a faceless profile), my greeting being a bit lame, and more importantly the high ratio of men to women on this site and the treatment that women seem to get on this site, but I have yet to have anybody but one person respond to me. Either way, I feel a bit disappointed that I haven't had any luck so far and wanted to post about it. If you are a woman in the Bay Area, I'd really appreciate for you to consider it. Hopefully I'm also not as dull as I seem. If anyone has any advice on how to approach engaging in conversation on this site other than what's on the support resources, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

Hi @favabeans ! It looks like you're still pretty new here, so it may be a matter of just needing more time. That said, there are a wealth of forum discussions on how to increase odds of responses, more effective search tactics, and tips on setting your profile up for success.

In case you hadn't already seen them, these are some of the discussions I tend to recommend:

    Cuddling Discussions & Resources thread

    Forums FAQ

Links to several discussions about not getting responses back

This discussion on trouble shooting why no replies

This discussion on what makes a good profile

This discussion on messaging etiquette - and especially the comment by one of our lovely mods, @cheeseboy

This comment from @SleepySheep1 kind of generally sums up what many women on this site will look for:

    You have a 10/10 profile!
    Multiple photos ✅️
    Shows face and body ✅️
    Detailed bio ✅️
Told about yourself and your interests ✅️
Explained why you're on this site ✅️
No misspellings or huge grammatical mistakes ✅️
Honestly 7/10 of the profiles that reach out to me have no profile photo, no bio, or a bio under 15 words, and nothing clear to go off of at all.
I think yours is great immediately feels thought-out and intentional which already puts you ahead of 80% of profiles honestly.

And again - patience is key. If you're seeking an enthusiast (someone who cuddles as a hobby instead of getting paid), it can sometimes takes weeks or months to cultivate connections with compatible people. Hiring a pro can speed up that process significantly and can help build up karma (ratings), which can help reassure others that you are respectful and a good cuddle partner.

  • Thank you for the advice! I'm a broke college student, so I have financial reservations about booking with pros. I also am about to leave the Bay Area because of my graduation, so I'm afraid, even if someone did respond, I wouldn't be able to cultivate a more meaningful relationship over weeks. Maybe I should return once I have the time to and, with your advice, I could find somebody to talk to. It was silly of me to not realize some of these things earlier. I will be playing around with my profile to expand a little more anyways, though I still am uncomfortable having my face on there.

  • Understandable. Congrats on your impending graduation! I wish you luck with your search even if you decide to put it on hold. For what it's worth, networking with the cuddling community can go a long way even between finding cuddle partners!

  • Thank you! :) Profile is now updated a bit more. I would definitely network if I could, but I haven't heard of any events happening near me. I am open to looking into it

I've come back to this thread to address this really quickly: as I alluded to earlier, I am not interested in meeting with pros at this time due to financial circumstances. I will not be responding to pros that reach out unless it is purely for conversation without intention to meet. I apologize but thank you.
