  • No I have not seen it so I won't be able to give a fair opinion

  • @trysdet I think u should watch it, I found it quite interesting it felt like a really good play more than a movie almost poetic ... it may just become one of ur favorites 😉

  • Jessie Buckley was fantastic in it. She’s very talented. The movie was very bizarre but in a fun and chaotically charming way.

Definitely not for everyone but I liked it.

  • @TichantoP I have to disagree it wasn't bizarre it was just an extremely chaotic love story told dramatically and intensely... if u really pay attention to it Frankenstein is like a lot of us. Deprived of intimacy, some never ever even knowing the feeling their entire lifetime... he's a very lonely creature... his attraction for her is 100% organic they even grow to love each other in the end and then they die together... I'm sorry if I was able to write out my own love story it would probably be very similar to this movie plot ♥️

  • 10 out of 10 for me

  • I didn’t even know the movie existed…

  • I watched this last weekend, and encouraged a few of my friends to add it to their watch list.

I went into it remembering that I'd seen some trailers for it when it was in theaters, and that, of course, it was related to The Bride of Frankenstein idea. I enjoy watching Christian Bale, which probably sealed the deal for me.

As I was watching it, for large portions of the movie, I didn't know what was going to happen next, and I enjoyed that immensely. In many if not most other movies, I feel like I can predict what's coming, and even if I'm wrong about a lot of it, or the particular direction things will break in, I still feel like I can predict what's next. With The Bride, I felt like I didn't know well enough to even guess, and so I could just sit back and soak it in.

The visuals were amazing, the acting was excellent, the themes were compelling. The minor detractions were tolerable without throwing me out of the immersion.

For me The Bride crossed the line from a well executed piece of movie-craft into being a work of Art.

  • @kendrayk74 Wooooow WELL PUT u should be a movie critic! If I hadn't already seen the movie 4x I'd definitely want to watch it after reading ur comment!
