Your client asks you to pick a movie, which one are you putting on? I need recs.
This is a pretty broad question… movies are a very subjective taste. Here’s a tired initial response from someone sitting at an airport waiting for a flight… 😎
The best choices, in my opinion, are going to be based on mutual interest and require a level of communication to choose.
Have they shared anything at all? Any interest? Any particular aversions? If there is nothing communicated at all I’d suggest the movie is just white noise and feel free to choose whatever you want to set the tone, or create opportunities for easing into conversation topics.

It depends on their interests and comfort levels. If they hate horror, I most definitely will not choose Rigor Mortis. But if they love vampires, I may put that on. Or it could be a feel good movie, or a beloved cartoon like The Lion King.
Either way my goal will be to find something we can both enjoy, talk about, and form a connection or rapport over.
I come across a lot of profiles that list horror as their favorite genre. It is not mine. So I haven’t yet explored the movie cuddle option. I would prefer a heartwarming movie. Anything Studio ghibli, Dan in Real life, To sir with Love, A Goofy Movie, Because of Winn-Dixie, Love and Basketball, Moonrise Kingdom, you’ve got mail, St. Elmo’s Fire, Sylvie’s Love, On Golden Pond, That Thing You Do.
