June is Mens Mental Health Month, please take care of yourselves and don't be ashamed to reach out for help if you need it
So important 🤗 thank you for highlighting both awareness months!
Thank you , as a man I appreciate your support ❤️
@cuddlefaery beating me to all the punches tonight! 😁
A lot of these threads end up talking about misogyny and patriarchy and several folks try to include that these things hurt everyone, including men.
So yeah, reach out for help, break free of binds, work the feelings.

Thank you. Who can it be knocking at my door? Go away. Don't come round here no more. Can't you see that it's late at night. I'm very tired and I'm not feeling right.
❤️❤️❤️ my brother just told me he's getting a therapist and I'm so happy! he has never had one.
@pmvines I saw you were gone for a bit a while ago, glad you are back and glad you are here
@theHugAlchemist
Awww I adore you my friend 🤗
@pmvines Thank you for creating this thread.
@BellaAine Thank you for listing the different numbers/ways that people can get in contact for some help/support.
As someone who has been dealing with a a particularly severe level of depression/hopelessness for longer than I care for, I'm always trying to find as many help options as possible to keep me afloat.
Thank you for creating this thread @pmvines .
Love this. It's incredibly important for men to open up in safe environments, receive the support that they need as well
Is it the man come to take me away? Why do they follow me? Wishing you and all great mental health force every month of every year.
@sean2589 you are very welcome love. Every living being is connected to each other therefore, you are never alone. I hear you, I see you and you are allowed to feel what you feel and release it when it no longer serves you.
Yo yo! What up?
@BellaAine I really appreciate you saying all of that, thank you!
Thanks for the thread @pmvines!
I’ve been going through it this year (well, longer than that, but this year especially)
I’ve been putting in the work-support groups, therapy, etc, and it’s starting to pay off. Overall, life is lifey. 🤷♂️
Anyway, I hope if anyone out there is struggling-there’s nothing wrong with asking for help if you need it.
I wish everyone the best mental health possible. For some reason I always think of Men At Work - Who can it Be Now? when mental health is mentioned. Who knew having anxiety could produce such a legendary hit?
Well right now mine is very shitty!
@trysdet a FANTASTIC song that definitely touches on some real issues (loneliness and paranoia).
We're in the trenches together, gents. Let's intentionally use this time to find supports where we can and take responsibility for our past and present so we can have a brighter future.
Holding space for anyone that needs it. Scream, cry, let it all out and stay as long as you need to. 💙💙💙
I know the world is unfair and you don't always have to be the strong one. Let me hold you, nurture you and send you on your way. 🫂💖
I have a lot to say about this, because it's affected myself and people I know. So pull up a foot locker this is going to take a while. Men count for nearly half the population but also count for nearly 80% of all suicides.. Men suffer in silence because the only emotion we're allowed to display in public without being mocked is rage. When we suffer a lot of times It seen as incompetence.. When we struggle with pressures, relationships or just society in general it's often dismissed as a personal failure, a lack of ambition or we're just not man enough to handle it.. We show the outside world a different face because we don't want to show any weakness.. Because we don't know who to turn to when we're feeling lonely, wondering how we're going to cross over this mountain of problems that we're facing in silence.. And I know some of your thinking well why don't you just confide in someone you trust? The answer to that question is that some of us already have, maybe we said it to someone we considered a best friend only to turn around and have them blab it to everyone else. Maybe we shared it with our girlfriend or our wife, only to have that moment of weakness used against us to win a meaningless argument.. And when either of those scenarios take place we will never ever let our guard down again. Because the person we considered a friend or the person we were thinking about sharing the rest of our life with took our fears and used it against us. So that's why a lot of us suffer in silence, honestly that's why a lot of men quit dating in general especially these past recent years when you would go on social media and here how a bear is now preferable to us.. Now you know why a lot of men feel disposable because society today labels men is toxic, men are lazy, men are emotionally incompetent, men did this to themselves and they deserve it.. Hell, the only times we ever receive our flowers figuratively and literally is a day of our funeral. That's when the people in our lives tell stories about us and all the positive influences we may have played in their lives, the funny memories, the heartfelt moments. But what good does that do us when we're already in that casket, we should have been told that while we were still here. Most of us don't even get anything for Valentine's Day, because as far as society's concerned that's not our day as well. We're not asking for anyone's pity or judgment we just want to be heard..
Thanks for this post.I really needed this. After 30 year addiction,I'm on a path to recovery.I hope I can stay the course.
Appreciate this thread @pmvines
I’ve shared some of my mental health struggles on the forums, mainly hoping others will see that it’s ok not be ok, and to seek help when you need it. It took a long time for me to open up about it in life as the stigma for mental health, especially men’s, is very real. The only way to bring light on this stuff is to be vulnerable and talk about it.
@75Ash rooting for you. You got this
@jonnyquest you're describing exactly how the patriarchy harms men. 💔 That's why so many of us are opposed to it, because it hurts us all in myriad ways. I notice you didn't list therapist amongst the people to confide in. Was that a mistake or is therapy not something you are interested in or have done?
