Hooray for Google
I've always been an ally as I've grown up with friends in the rainbow community, but now I have a son who is a rainbow child and has a long term trans partner, as well as 2 cousins who are trans. Even though I'm not on the rainbow spectrum myself, it's a human rights issue that has always been near and dear to me.
@pmvines Yes it is absolutely a human rights issue that has sadly been politically weaponized.
Shirt says Papasaurus Rex
Love it @pmvines! I have a similar one
Pride parade Not quite over but I'm hot and don't wanna fight traffic because I'm old!
Not gay but as a United States marine my pronouns are savage/warrior. Happy pride.
@Toilet_Fortune
Lots of gay Marines and military folks actually, glad you are showing support for them they need recognition too
@Toilet_Fortune Hey, I don't know if you're saying that in jest or not, but wanted to gently share some context: listing 'savage/warrior' as your pronouns in an LGBTQ-friendly space could come across as mocking people for sharing theirs. Pronouns exist specifically to replace people's names in conversation for the sake of simplicity and clarity.
Compare these three sentences: "Joe said Joe would be late, Joe's car isn't starting." "Joe said he would be late, his car isn't starting." "Joe said savage would be late, warrior car isn't starting."
The first can be repetitive and clunky, especially as the narration continues. The second is how pronouns are meant to work - simple and clear. The third shows what happens when words that aren't pronouns get placed in that role - the meaning breaks down, and while 'warrior car' might sound kind of cool, it no longer clearly conveys that it's Joe's car.
It's worth noting that some people do opt out of pronouns altogether and simply ask others to use their name instead - and that's completely valid! But 'savage/warrior' don't function as pronouns grammatically.
In LGBTQ spaces especially, pronoun sharing carries real weight for trans and nonbinary members. Wanted to bring it up in case mocking that wasn't the intention, or if there was any confusion about how pronouns work!
(Edited for typos and clarity)
Yeah. And savage is an adjective and warrior is a noun. Not pronouns. Sorry to yuck your yum..
@pmvines I mean, savage can be a noun, but it's in extremely poor taste to use it as such in 2026
@cuddlefaery so when I was called a savage it wasn’t the compliment I took it as? 😂
@Toilet_Fortune Dan Savage thanks you for your support. He didn’t know he had fanatical support from homophobic straight Marines.

@mauvefox I mean, I'm all for reclaiming slurs 👑 however, given the cultural component, it's not up for people like me (i.e. not from an indigenous people who historically had the word used against them) to do the reclaiming 🤷🏻♀️
Well that’s true and I was just being silly. As always your information is always appreciated.
(I will still take it as a compliment if I ever am called a savage. Similarly to the times I’ve been called a heathen. 😁)
Getting back on topic:
I attempted to do do an omnisexual flag mani, but the colors came out off 😭😅 I guess it still looks bi-adjacent?
What the flag is actually supposed to look like 🙃
@cuddlefaery They’re gorgeous. I’m a big fan of fun and fantastic nails.
@mauvefox wish I could claim them as my own, but they only are in the sense that Dolly Parton uses 😂 they're press ons lol
Press ons are super fun! My eyelids aren’t naturally sparkly and my hair isn’t naturally four different colors. If it’s on your body it’s yours to claim. 🤗
Happy pride!!!! Appreciation to the moderators - and many friends here! - for keeping this a safe space! 🏳️🌈
Doctor Who is LGBT
@cuddlefaery I like that! And I didn't know about omnisexual. It fits better than pan or bi for me so thank you. 😊
@Meowmoon same for me! I learned about the nuance of it from the concept of the "bisexual umbrella". Basically, pan and omni would be considered subcategories of bi. But most people aren't familiar with omnisexual, so I tend to put bi/pan/omni in my profiles 😂🤷🏻♀️
@IronicMaiden one of the many reasons I love the reboot 💖
@Sideon love it! It's giving Gladiator, only even gayer 😂
Happy Pride, everyone!! 🌈🏳️⚧️
@cuddlefaery I like the nails still and the Snorlax! My sister is bi and has the flag on her various things and I've told her she can tell me things that she might not feel comfortable with other more conservative family members. Even though she likes to call me old (she's 19), she'll often share things with me, such as her liking for He-man, Skeletor, and Evilyn in the new Masters of the Universe movie among other more personal things. Still her line of "Teela if you're not going to play pass the controller!" cracked me up. Didn't think she'd enjoy the movie as much as she did.
@Sideon I'd like to imagine that's a what-if story where only Vader's face was burnt and he wanted a tan and to show his unlimited power off. 😁
Happy pride!!! 🌈
