What was the best compliment that you have ever received and what was your response? How did that interaction changed you, your life and your relationship with that person?
A close friend was pregnant with her 5th baby and knew how much I had wanted to have one and it just hadn't worked out for me. She sat me down and told me if I really wanted a baby she knew I would make the most amazing momma and that she would give me her baby to adopt for an open adoption. She had already had 4 boys... I cried she cried. It was the biggest compliment I will ever receive. I was in no position, financially, to raise a baby alone at that time in my life. And I reluctantly declined her amazing unbelievable offer. And she ended up having a beautiful baby girl and I know she is happy I said no.

My older sister one time told me that I am the heart of the family. The reason she moved back to our area was to be closer. She had been contemplating moving to France. I was really moved by what she said. I am someone with a big heart, and sometimes i'm criticized for being too kind to people. It felt really good to be acknowledged. She can be very tough on people.And it made me give her a little more grace. In a big family the older daughter gets a lot of responsibility. I am grateful for her.
