Where are all the world cup fans ⚽🥅

I keep checking to see posts baking the world cup and nothing ... Who's watching?
Who are you rooting for?
Who's city is hosting?

  • I stumbled across the first game, US v Paraguay. I'm not into soccer that much, but I enjoyed watching it.

  • Nice ...I actually performed with my highschool choir in the opening ceremonies, when the world cup was in pontiac Michigan back in the 90s

  • Coolest thing when I was young and hitchhiking around Europe was being in the UK during the World Cup. They were absolutely bonkers for it and the vibe was so fun

  • Hitchhiking around Europe sounds exciting

  • How 'bout those two dudes who cracked skulls in mid-air while going for a header?

    Ouch.

    @MeltMyWay

    It was before 911 and much easier to travel and things weren't as expensive. Literally slept in buses and trains and with strangers and ate when I could. Definitely a different time period of my life. Would love to travel like that again as a gainfully employed adult lol.

  • The base camps for both Argentina (Messi mania) and England are in KC. It has been crazy. Of course two truck drivers from Texas stole England’s equipment they were transporting. But I am proud of our city that two of the premier futbol programs in the world chose KC over the other WC sites. The Brits are complaining about the humidity and heat constantly. Argentina hasn’t complained at all about the weather. Nor has the Netherlands or Algeria who are base camped here. Just England.

  • @TheFunCartel I seen Soo many titktoks about Europeans complaining about the heat. And also how amazed they are by Walmart and buccees and ranch dressing lol

    @MeltMyWay I really don’t know why they are complaining about the heat it’s actually been mild in KC with the exception of two days.

  • I’m watching, my city is hosting, and I’m for France!

  • @TheFunCartel I think it might be the fans here in California and in Texas that are complaining about the heat.

  • Being English, naturally supporting them despite there being no hope 😅
    Portugal winning would be amazing, but I have to go for Argentina purely for sweepstake reasons

  • WORLD CUUUUP YES about time brought it up I've highkey been binge watching a bunch of the games. Once I pulled and all nighter to witness two 1-1 draws and a 1-0 win lol. Scorelines this boring would make non-football fans in the US sleep in the stands. But the games have been really entertaining and unpredictable. Every match up got me on the edge of my seat- even the apparent mismatches.
