@CSnMUS87 Sorry to hear that, didn't realize you were in the software field. Finding a software job is a lot tougher right now. My company used to hire remote but now everyone wants some kind of hybrid in the local area. Plus the AI craze and execs undervaluing software engineering in general 😞
@diegosensible yeah I had a short few months working for Revature, but that didn't end up working out despite good performance. I very much am shooting for entry-level/junior roles so I can gain the proper experience and improve myself. So I'm not sure if I should consider myself in the field yet, but I'm trying. I don't mind not doing remote if it's somewhere local, or if there's enough reason to move. But yeah hopefully things change soon and these massive layoffs stop happening at least for some time. Is a computer science degree still valued at all? Either way at least I did learn something useful.
