Future GOAT in the making Kylian Mbappe put on a show that I wish he would've put on for Spain in his match finishing up his World Cup campaign with 10 goals scored, putting him in good position for the Golden Boot. If Messi wants to capture the boot as well as the WC trophy and preserving his all time record, he's gotta score a hat trick in all likelihood, but I don't see that happening with Spain being a STRONG defensive team and Argentina can't afford to play catch up with a well rounded team like Spain. Messi has to play like the game like it's truly his last, even if it is.

@wilderdude Well considering that Lamine Yamal has basically been baptized by one of the football gods in Messi, he could very well go on to have a great career. He definitely is the future with Mbappe being the present and Haaland being somewhere in the middle. I've grown to really like Erling Haaland, the man is an absolute character 😂. Yeah Mbappe and Yamal could be the next CR7 vs. Messi, though hopefully nowhere as near of a toxic fanfest.

Edit: @CuddleDuncan Me being the seasoned sports fan, a grandiose halftime show in a Championship match would be par for the course, well at least to me at least. Shakira & Jennifer Lopez performed at a Super Bowl Halftime Show not too long ago so to me, theatrics at the final leg of a sporting event is nothing unusual.

Argentina has always been "The Inevitable" through the entirety of the World Cup until they met a defense in Spain that plays every single minute by the minute, plus they are a VERY well rounded team. Lamine Yamal may be the star, but the squad functions as a complete unit. Spain are the true Iron Men of the tourney and that is not to be denied.
