Quitting Alcohol

The most alcohol I've had is trace from mouthwash that I spit out or miso. Used to have patients come in to healthcare facility and would squirt or drink the hand sanitizer. There are times in the past I was curious about beer and such but never did. During a reception I thought a glass was just water but someone put there hand over the glass before I drank it saying it was champagne lol..

  • So I ordered a glass of wine since I haven’t had one in a long time, thinking it will improve my mood, etc. it was a glass of Merlot and I only took a few sips before giving up on it. Either the wine was too strong or I lost my tolerance. Either way, good reminder that I made the right decision to quit drinking.

  • Yes you did. It's never a bad idea to not drink alcohol.

  • Pfft...I am not a quitter. 😝

  • Today, I celebrate 2 years of sobriety.

  • Oooo weeeee @disneysamurai thank you for sharing something vulnerable. I grew up around alcoholics and addiction my entire life and not only is it sad to watch but scary as well. Just something that happens and before you know it you’ve lost years of your life, literally. Be proud and stick with it.

If you ever want any holistic tips don’t hesitate to ask. Health is important. Having cared for many elderly clients I can confidently say there is a drastic difference between those who took care of themselves and those who did not.
But of course, every time, no matter what, CANCER SUCKS!

🌱 there are a lot of herbs you can drink as tea in place of alcohol that will help you improve in a lot of ways. There are herbs to help you detox your kidneys and liver and lungs.
Everyone is magnesium deficient so even just that alone can help boost you!
But you’re pretty cultured and know some things so I’m sure all that is on your radar 😊
Either way, I’m excited for you and your new life chapter 🙌🏽🪶🪶🪶♥️

  • @BrokenWillow thanks! It has been almost a year now and still going strong!
