We’re doing it! @justjennn @sillysassy @OhioMike and I are working together to bring you a fun Meet & Greet at the beautiful Lake Lure, in North Carolina!! Based on the extraordinary success of the OG St. Louis 'MO CUDDLES Event, Viva Las Cuddles, and the current Meet & Greet excitement in the forums, we are so excited to create an opportunity for a Lake Lure, NC Meet and Greet!! It's a gorgeous area with beautiful views of Waterfalls, Chimney Rock, Rumbling Bald Mountain and of course our own Lake Lure that survived and has rebuilt from Hurricane Helene of 2024. (This area is famous for a great many things including the original filming of Dirty Dancing with Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze.)

You are invited to a Cuddle Community Meet & Greet to be held...
Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
Time: 11 am - 3pm ish
Location: The Gate House at Lake Lure Village Resort 290 Village Blvd., Lake Lure, NC 28746
This is the first time I am facilitating a Meet & Greet so there will be a few updates along the way. Please be patient with me. 🩵
We will be planning to have lunch together for this event. We are providing the main dish as well as plasticware, napkins, cups, plates and water. The gatehouse is similar to a small meeting room with tables and chairs for our use. This event is free for Cuddle Comfort members who are in good standing. As with previous Meet & Greets, we will have a donation bucket for any contributions toward the rental and supplies.
Details: This is a non-cuddle event to meet other cuddlers in person. Cuddling maybe-could occur if parties are interested, but the focus of this event is to meet other members of Cuddle Comfort in an environment without the expectation of cuddling. Cuddlers from outside of North Carolina are welcome to join.
Bring: Your own sweet self, blankets, games to play, snacks/food to share, outdoor camping chairs, and your enthusiasm! (The weather shows it to be gorgeous and perfect timing for the beauty that is the Peak Leaf Season)
Details will be added as needed. We’ll reserve the first couple of comments for that. This particular thread will be to discuss this event only. There is another thread generally talking about the possibilities of holding similar events.

We are thrilled to be able to facilitate another great opportunity to meet peeps from this beautiful community. Hopefully we can replicate the OG @Babichev and her amazing success along with all of the other extraordinary facilitators of events!
