Why most Brits' profile has no friends and no karma, after years being here..

Hey lovely people :) After being here for a few days as an enthusiast, seeing many profiles, I wonder, ( and perhaps this has been discussed many times here before ), why is that that many Brits with active profiles ( active, because they contact me and asking for cuddles straight away ), have no friends or karma..

However, people from the USA omg, so very sweet, open, friendly, I see they have enthusiast cuddle parties organised here, and they DO give karmas and women cuddle women too , men cuddle men, regardless of sensual orientation at all! Its amazing, I love that!!

Perhaps it is a cultural difference, as I am a Brit, also shy, not showing my face... also the 1st person who contacted me was a lady from the USA, who became my 1st friend :) so sweet :)

    Probably don't want to get caught by the proverbial
    "Old ball and chain" just teasing. Probably for personal privacy reason and I don't think it only applies to British.

    I'm shy and I wouldn't want to bother anyone. I'm new here too and I haven't even started looking seriously yet. I wouldn't know what to say to anyone :s But I'll be your friend :)

    Setting aside how few people there are anyway, these things are predicated on people being willing to actually engage with each other. In my experience, this is something the Brits are just bad at in general.

    In all my time using various dating and social networking sites, British people have the lowest response rate by a metric mile. In contrast, I get replies from Europeans and Americans easily.

    The Brits can be quite shy especially if you compare them to Americans. I caused several of them to burst into flames by smiling and saying hello when I noticed them staring on the tube. Still curious what cultural norm I violated 😅

    You did WHAT?? In terms of tube etiquette that comes just above conducting a human sacrifice between stations and just below setting off a large bomb.

    It is true they shouldn't have been staring. But there's a good chance they weren't - they just had the blank tube expression and their face happened to be pointing at you because the seat had previously been empty.

    In general Americans are very good at small talk with strangers, while in general Brits would rather die, painfully. Except in Glasgow. In Glasgow, addressing a stranger gives them the right to know every detail of your sexual and medical history and, what is worse, tell you theirs.

    @CuddleDuncan 🤣🤣 I don't fault anyone for staring but I stare back! These lads all minded very much
    either way it was a very interesting phenomenon to see these little buds of red rise up from those stiff collars and erupt over the whole face as they squirmed. I was there for more than a month and felt like a cultural anthropologist and came to the conclusion that we have very little in common as far as social nuance goes. Don't get me started on the channel Islands 🫠 maybe Glasgow next time lol

    I would say generally there are a lot more Americans on here than Brits , from my experience of being on here on and off over many years.

    Some ppl I've met from here we stayed friends for years but most of them haven't lived locally . So we could of given karma .

    I also think it could be the whole British thing like how we don't leave restaurant reviews unless it was either awful or amazing haha.

    Just be be clear, and joking aside, if you're visiting London you're supposed to message me. I'm sure it's in the terms of service somewhere. That definitely includes professionals whose profile I have not visited. I make no promises - life, you know - but I've met a number of visitors, mostly from the US, for cuddling and non-cuddling and it's always been absolutely lovely.

    General tips for visiting London, UK and Europe available on request, from me and I suspect most of the other Europeans on the site.

    It's easy to join here, actually meeting someone and getting feedback does require quite a lot of effort. I live in Central England aka the Midlands and I could easily have mostly given up on this site when I joined 2 years ago. In my city/county there's I think 1 pro cuddler who's reguarly active. In the larger East Midlands region maybe 2. Going further afield into the larger region, there's more but the the majority don't host (this isn't a criticism people can only do what they can or choose). I've have a good amount of feedback, but there's been a lot of travelling or tieing in sessions when I've been in London.

    ... moving off at a tangent (this probably deserves it's own thread, really), but, omg there are hardly any people from London on this site! I've met some really nice people here, but I think 99% of them are from the US... Would be amazing to meet some people from closer to home (as well) :)
